How to Sell Gift Cards to CardPool

CardPool LogoHow to Sell Gift Cards to CardPool

I have bought and sold many gift cards to/from CardPool over the years.  They are very dependable (not like Card Snagger), have very fast processing times, and are located close by in San Francisco.  In this tutorial, I will show you how to successfully sell your unused gift cards to CardPool.  The entire process took me 12 days from February 23 to March 6.  I will show you how I sold 5 $250 Bloomingdale’s gift cards.

The best place to start for either buying or selling gift cards is Gift Card Granny.  Go here and search for any gift card you want to sell.  Click the sell link below the store’s name.

You will see payout rates for 5-6 different gift card merchants.  I look at the merchants with the highest payout rates, in this case CardPool and GiftCards.com.  Clicking on the payout link takes you to that merchant’s website where you can sell gift cards directly to them.

I also will be writing a tutorial on how to sell gift cards to GiftCards.com, that should be done by tomorrow.  Have a great weekend everyone!

Can’t make it to a Staples Store before 3/11? Shop for Gift Cards Online

As we all know, Staples and Plink are separating on March 11, only to be replaced by Office Depot.  Therefore, you only have 3 more days to earn Plink Points for your Staples purchases.  If you are busy and can’t squeeze in any last minute visits to Staples, why not shop online?  You cannot buy $200 Visa or Mastercard gift cards online, but you can buy $100 Visa gift cards (gift card link).  The price comes to $106.95 with free shipping.

To sweeten the deal, there are plenty of cash back and miles/points-earning shopping portals to choose from on Cash Back Monitor.  My favorite would be the Chase Ultimate Rewards Mall, but chose whichever portal you want.

Almost to $300 Cash Back with my Citi Dividend Credit Card

I am almost there and it has only taken me one month.  I have until March 31, 2014, to reach the $300 annual cash back cap for the Citi Dividend credit card.

Dividend Dollars

If you have no idea what I am talking about, the Citi Dividend credit card is the Citi-equivalent of the Chase Freedom or Discover It credit card.  It has 5% rotating categories and the category of interest this year month is Drug Stores (you know why…).  The great thing about the Citi Dividend credit card is that there is only an annual cap of $300 cash back, no quarterly cash back cap.   Continue reading

Office Depot will Replace Staples on Plink Starting March 12, 2014

Office Depot will Replace Staples on Plink Starting March 12, 2014

It has been a roller coaster over the last 24 hours, but the dust has settled and we know a little more about what is going on.  From now through March 11, Staples purchases will still earn Plink Points.  Starting March 12, Staples will disappear and Office Depot will take its place.  We do not know what the Plink Points-earning structure will be.  I think we all assume it will be the same as before, but we are all guessing.  They could increase the Plink Point-earning payout or decrease, or keep it the same.  Only time will tell.

We just have to wait and see what Plink does.  If you have any questions, please leave a comment below.  Have a great day.
