Good evening everyone. I received a targeted offer from Virgin America in the form of a postcard that offers me 5,000 Virgin America Elevate miles for creating a new Virgin America account. This is strange because I already have a Virgin America account, I status matched to Virgin America Elevate Gold elite status, and I was recently approved for the Comenity Virgin America Premium Visa Signature Credit Card. Apparently, Virgin America still does not think I have a Virgin America account. The small print on the front of the postcard says that this offer is only available for those living at the address printed on the postcard, but you are welcome to create a new Virgin America account and see if you get the 5,000 bonus Virgin America Elevate miles.
Go to this landing page and create an account before September 24, 2016. After creating the new Virgin America account, you do not need to anything else, except wait 4-6 weeks for the 5,000 Virgin America Elevate miles to post to your account. 5,000 Virgin America Elevate miles is worth ~$100 toward airfare, so this is great if you can snag a cheap Virgin America flight or top up your new Virgin America account to pay for a more expensive flight.
Fill out your email address, password, and other personal information.
Creating a new account took only a few minutes. After that, I added the new Virgin America account to my Award Wallet account so I know when the Virgin America Elevate miles post to my account.
Best case scenario, you spend a few minutes creating a new Virgin America account and get 5,000 Virgin America Elevate miles as a bonus. Worst case scenario, you spend a few minutes creating a new Virgin America account, but you do not get a bonus. If you have any questions, please leave a comment below. Have a great evening everyone.
Haha. I tried it and we shall see.
Good luck!
Are the points transferable? I gave their TOS a cursory glance and found no mention. I gave it a try too (theh are valuable). I used my first name initial, spelled out my middle name, and gave last name. So its legit, and if they’re transerable -Im hoping I can send them to my longstanding account… top them off with a 5k purchase if they require blocks of 10k to transfer, for eg. Ty for the heads up G-Man!
I don’t think they are transferable, but you can definitely transfer points into the account. Good luck on the bonus :)
Site was down as of 2.16pm EST 9/15. Perhaps it got hammered with traffic and they took it down?
Landing page still works for me as of 11:19am PT. Try to sign up from a different browser.

Hope some one updates on the Date account created and date points 5 k posted
and if u got the 5k mail or not
Did you receive the email from Virgin America? Did you use the same email address that they sent the email to? If so, you should get the points soon.
Did this last month and just got the 5,000 points credited to my account today.
Awesome, glad you got the points relatively quickly :)
My 5K bonus also just posted. I didn’t receive the promo postcard, and created a fresh VA account to sign up for the promotion last month.
Awesome, thank you for the data point. I guess as long as you used the link before the 9/24, you should get the bonus.
To add to this, at the same time I tried to sign up for this promo with my old (not new) Elevate account, and I did NOT receive the points there. Only the new (albeit non-targeted) accounts worked.
Gotcha, good to know. Thanks Dan.
