Use Shop & Support to Earn Money for your Favorite Charity (Up to a 60% Donation)

Good afternoon and happy Halloween!  A few weeks ago, I was at the Chicago Seminars travel conference and learned about a new website/service where you can earn money for your favorite charity.  The website is called Shop & Support and it is very easy to use.  You create a free account, select your favorite charity (or multiple charities) and then link your credit or debit card to your account.  Whenever you make an online or instore purchase using your linked credit or debit card, a portion of your purchase will be donated by the merchant to your designated charity/charities.  I cannot verify this personally, but the person I spoke with said that all the donations you generate through Shop & Support count as a charitable donation and you will get a tax deduction.

Here are a few charities that Shop & Support recommends, but you can search and find your favorite charity.  I selected the American Red Cross because they always seem to be ready and able to help those affected right away, but I am sure the other charities do a great job as well.

During your first 60 days as a Shop & Support member, you will earn 2x on all donations, so this is a great time to join during the busy holiday shopping season.

As of right now, here are the various merchants/retailers and their donation amounts.  Since this is not an affiliate relationship, you can still go through your favorite shopping portal to earn cash back, miles or points.  I recommend Ebates but you can find other shopping portals on Cash Back Monitor.  Office Depot is an obvious choice, but I am sure there are a few merchants/retailers that you shop at regularly.
