Hat Tip to my girlfriend, Laura, for sending me the link :)
Good evening again, I have another quick post to share. According to SFGate.com, Interjet, which is a low-cost airline from Mexico, is launching cheap, non-stop flights from San Francisco (SFO) to Cancun (CUN) & Guadalajara (GDL). According to the article, “To celebrate the launch, Interjet is offering introductory round-trip fares to Guadalajara for $249 and to Cancun for $299”. “Flights for both destinations will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays beginning March 14.” With that, I wanted to check out the schedule and compare it to other airlines flying to Cancun. I pulled up Google Flights to check out March 14, but I didn’t see any Interjet flights. Hmm…
I then went over to Sky Scanner and searched the same route and date (March 14) and saw a cheap price of $137. I clicked the date to see the airlines, prices, and flight times.
There are actually 4 non-stop flights on March 14 between SFO and CUN. Interjet operates a redeye flight departing SFO at 11:35pm and arriving at CUN the next morning at 6:55am.
For the return flight, Interjet leaves CUN at 5:45pm and arrives at SFO at 10:05pm.
The price is great, assuming the redeye flight is doable for you. I would love to pair this cheap flight to Cancun with an all-inclusive stay at the Hyatt Ziva (family-friendly) or Hyatt Zilara (adult-only) for 25,000 Hyatt points per night (double occupancy). Is anyone going to do that combo?
If you have any questions, please leave a comment below. Have a great day everyone!
