50 Longest Highways in the US: How Many Have you Driven on?

Planes, trains, and automobiles! We can be so miles and points centric that planes become our number one way of getting from place to place. But sometimes you just want a road trip idea! Especially in such a large country, like the US. If you’re looking to take a road trip in the US, here’s an article about the 50 longest highways you can choose from. I learned something interesting about what used to be one of my favorite highways: it’s a highway no more!

I’ve always loved the leisure of car trips and have been across the US by car many times, so I enjoyed this article and hope you will too. Give it a read!

Thanks for sharing this interesting article – many interesting places.

Having lived in California and Texas most of my life, driven major parts of the 5, 10, 15, 30, 35, 75, 101, and the entire 405 that I can recall. Done the scenic route from San Francisco to Lake Tahoe going through parts of 80, 24, 4, 160, 5, and 50 – longer drive but it was worth it going through some amazing locals. Some interstate and some state highways. Drove the Pacific Coast Highway or CA-1 from Ventura to San Francisco and the views were amazing going through part of the old Spanish Camino Real and visiting the many missions along the way.

You’re welcome, Kalboz. You mentioned some of my favorites (SF to Tahoe, PCH) The article made me realize it’s been too long since I took a real road trip!
