Good morning everyone, I hope your week is going well.  In the last 24 hours, I have received 2 vacation package offers that I wanted to share.  The first is from Hilton Grand Vacations where you can get a 3 night stay in Orlando or Las Vegas + 15,000 Hilton Points for $149.  The second offer is from Wyndham Vacation Resorts for a 3 night stay in Orlando, Myrtle Beach, Branson, Smoky Mountains, Las Vegas, San Antonio, or Destin + 15,000 Wyndham Rewards Points for $199.  Both of these vacation packages require attending a 2 hour timeshare presentation (please see the terms and conditions before booking).  I’m not sure if this matters, but I am in California, I am Diamond Elite Status with both chains, and I have credit cards with both chains.  Here is the email I received from Hilton Grand Vacations:

To compare apples to apples (Hilton to Wyndham), I selected Las Vegas.  It looks like you need to purchase the Hilton offer by May 10, 2021.  Here is the link to the full terms and conditions.

The all in price with tax came out to $168.94.  I didn’t go any further to check availability, but I am sure availability is pretty good right now.

I selected the Las Vegas package to compare to the above Hilton package.

The Wyndham offer does come with a 7 day cancellation period, if you decide to change your mind later.

I picked a random 3 night stay and then I was shown 8 different properties.  I believe most of these properties are part of Caesars Rewards, which is a partner of Wyndham Rewards.

Most of these hotels are on the older side, so I selected The LINQ Hotel since that is the newest and coolest looking (in my opinion).

The all in price with tax came out to $230.20.

It’s hard to know if these are good deals, but I would put a value of 15,000 Hilton Points at around $75 and the value of 15,000 Wyndham Rewards Points close to $150, if you plan on using the points to book a 1 bedroom vacation property with Vacasa (read My Experience Booking Vacasa Vacation Rentals with Wyndham Rewards Points).  I don’t have any plans to visit Las Vegas or any of the locations mentioned in this post, so I will pass on the offer, but if you are, this could be a great deal.  Just make sure you stick to your guns and don’t buy a timeshare.  If you have any questions, please leave a comment below.  Have a great day everyone!
