Hilton & Wyndham Vacation Package Offers: 3 Nights + 15K Points for $149-$199

Good morning everyone, I hope your week is going well.  In the last 24 hours, I have received 2 vacation package offers that I wanted to share.  The first is from Hilton Grand Vacations where you can get a 3 night stay in Orlando or Las Vegas + 15,000 Hilton Points for $149.  The second offer is from Wyndham Vacation Resorts for a 3 night stay in Orlando, Myrtle Beach, Branson, Smoky Mountains, Las Vegas, San Antonio, or Destin + 15,000 Wyndham Rewards Points for $199.  Both of these vacation packages require attending a 2 hour timeshare presentation (please see the terms and conditions before booking).  I’m not sure if this matters, but I am in California, I am Diamond Elite Status with both chains, and I have credit cards with both chains.  Here is the email I received from Hilton Grand Vacations:

Here is the short version of the terms and conditions from the email:

Guests must purchase by May 10, 2021 to enjoy a 4-Day/3-Night stay for $149 plus tax in Orlando, Florida or Las Vegas, Nevada at a participating hotel within the Hilton portfolio of brands (valued up to $175-$500/night). Guests will receive 15,000 Hilton Honors™ Points (valued at $150) after attending the Personal Preview. Redemption of points is subject to Hilton Honors Terms and Conditions and valid membership.

You have up to 12 months from date of purchase to travel. Please read complete Details of Participation. As part of your vacation package, you’ll attend a two-hour Personal Preview and sales presentation, where you’ll learn how you and your family can enjoy the many benefits and privileges of vacation ownership with Hilton Grand Vacations. Hilton Grand Vacations Club LLC is the exchange agent.

THIS MATERIAL IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF SOLICITING TIMESHARE INTERESTS IN HILTON GRAND VACATIONS RESORTS IN MEXICO, FLORIDA or NEVADA. THE COMPLETE OFFERING TERMS ARE IN AN OFFERING PLAN AVAILABLE FROM THE SPONSOR. Sponsor of this promotion is Hilton Resorts Corporation located at 6355 MetroWest Blvd, Orlando, Florida 32835.

This is not an offer or solicitation to any person residing in a state where the project is not yet registered.

Here is the landing page for the offer.

The offers are the same, just different locations.

To compare apples to apples (Hilton to Wyndham), I selected Las Vegas.  It looks like you need to purchase the Hilton offer by May 10, 2021.  Here is the link to the full terms and conditions.

The all in price with tax came out to $168.94.  I didn’t go any further to check availability, but I am sure availability is pretty good right now.

Up next, let’s review the Wyndham offer.  Here is the email I received from Wyndham Vacation Resorts:

Here is the short version of the terms and conditions from the email:

I selected the Las Vegas package to compare to the above Hilton package.

The Wyndham offer does come with a 7 day cancellation period, if you decide to change your mind later.

Here are the details of the cancellation policy and rescheduling policy:

Here is the short version of the fine print.  Here is the link to the full terms and conditions.

I picked a random 3 night stay and then I was shown 8 different properties.  I believe most of these properties are part of Caesars Rewards, which is a partner of Wyndham Rewards.

Most of these hotels are on the older side, so I selected The LINQ Hotel since that is the newest and coolest looking (in my opinion).

The all in price with tax came out to $230.20.

It’s hard to know if these are good deals, but I would put a value of 15,000 Hilton Points at around $75 and the value of 15,000 Wyndham Rewards Points close to $150, if you plan on using the points to book a 1 bedroom vacation property with Vacasa (read My Experience Booking Vacasa Vacation Rentals with Wyndham Rewards Points).  I don’t have any plans to visit Las Vegas or any of the locations mentioned in this post, so I will pass on the offer, but if you are, this could be a great deal.  Just make sure you stick to your guns and don’t buy a timeshare.  If you have any questions, please leave a comment below.  Have a great day everyone!

Good post buddy. I would also advise your readers to always negotiate these terms. I have found that not only will these hotel/timeshare properties give you bonus points for sitting through the 2 hour timeshare presentation, but you can also negotiate on having them fully reimburse the $149/$199/whatever fee you paid. It works for me every time like a charm if you ask, and great advise from you: NEVER BUY THESE TIMEHARES, you can always buy the exact same timeshares on eBay for $1, trust me, I know, for I have done it many times.

Hi Jim, that is great advice. I didn’t realize you could negotiate the terms of the vacation package, but that makes sense. I will try that next time.
