Check November Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card Statement for Bonus Citi ThankYou Points

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you had a great weekend.  I was reviewing my recent Citi credit card statements and saw an adjustment on my Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card (no longer available).  The Account Messages section said:

Heads up: We’re crediting your ThankYou account
We noticed you didn’t receive ThankYou Points for some eligible online purchases on your account. We’re on it – we’ve credited your ThankYou account for the points, and you’ll see the credit on your current statement.

Citi identified that my credit card did not earn the correct 3x Citi ThankYou Points on all eligible purchases, so I received an adjustment of 14,140 Citi ThankYou Points, which implies that $7,070 of my purchases only earned 1x instead of the 3x rate for AT&T and online purchases.  This was a nice surprise to see on my credit card statement.

As you may remember, I actually have 3 Citi AT&T Access More Credit Cards which I was able to product change to from other Citi credit cards several years ago when Citi used to let you product from any Citi credit card to a Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card.  On my second card, I saw the same account message and received an adjustment of 6,060 Citi ThankYou Points, which implies that $3,030 of my purchases only earned 1x instead of the 3x rate for AT&T and online purchases.

Last but not least, my third card did not receive any adjustment points.  Perhaps Citi figured out the issue before I started spending money on this card.  Or perhaps I will get an adjustment on a future statement.  Only time will tell.

In the Citi ThankYou Points online portal, you can view your recent activity.  I filtered to only see November 2021 and clicked the View By List button.  I saw the bonus points from my first and second cards and my standard points from my third card.

Long story short, if you have a Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card (or 3), check your November statements to see if you received any bonus points as an adjustment.  I did not reach out to Citi about missing points, but a total of 20,200 Citi ThankYou Points just showed up on my statements this month.  If you have any questions, please leave a comment below.  Have a great day everyone!

That’s a nice bonus of free points. I do remember there were a lot of situations where I thought I would get 3x but only got 1. So hopefully that means I’ll be getting a nice bonus too. Thanks for posting all that information about this card years ago. I PCed to it then and with the limited time AA transfer offer I’ve been converting my TY points into AA miles.

Hi Danny, I would be really surprised if you didn’t get any bonus points on your upcoming statement. Hopefully you will be pleasantly surprised by the number of TYPs that show up in your account.

I’m glad you were able to product change to the AT&T Access More Credit Card years ago when that option still existed. I don’t fly AA very often and have a decent balance already, so I’m not transferring any TYPs to AA this month.

What are your favorite uses for AA miles?

I love to use them for the JFK-LAX business class seats if you can find the super saver award. They’re 32,500 one way which used to be a great deal. But recently, I haven’t seen much of it so it might be a victim of the dynamic award chart

That sounds like a great use of points if you can find the award space. When I searched for an award flight recently on AA, I saw a lot of routes for 75K AA miles each way in biz :(

I had about 37,000 and I spent a lot on that card. Interesting it would be to find out what charges these adjustments were for. Hard to figure out

Hi Sam, I’m glad you received 37K bonus TYPs. I think it would be almost impossible to figure out which 3x purchases did not code correctly on your original statements.
