Good afternoon everyone, I hope you had a great weekend. Along with the new card designs on the American Express Gold Card, you now have a $7 Dunkin credit every month. There are not many Dunkin locations in the Bay Area, but I didn’t want to let a $7 credit go to waste. I created a Dunkin account, download the app, signed in, and went through the process to buy a $7 Dunkin gift card, but that transaction kept failing. I then decided to “gift myself” a $5 Dunkin egift card which I was able to add to my Dunkin account and then proceed with the $7 Dunkin reload. If you already have a Dunkin card in your Dunkin account, you can skip this first step.
If you are starting from scratch (like me), go to the Dunkin gift card page and click the Buy Now button under the Give the Gift of Dunkin.
I sent myself a $5 Dunkin gift card. The purchase is processed by W Gift Cards (not Dunkin), so this purchase will not trigger the $7 Dunkin credit. Once the Dunkin egift card arrived, I was able to add that to my Dunkin account.
To trigger the $7 Dunkin credit, open the Dunkin app, click the Scan / Pay icon, click Pay with App, and then click Quick Reload.
Enter $7 in the Select Value area, add your AMEX Gold Card, enter the 4 digit security code, and click the Add Value button. Your Dunkin card should now $7 added to the balance. Since I started with a $5 Dunkin balance, I now have a $12 Dunkin balance.
On the Dunkin Transaction History screen, you can see the $5 gift card activation and the $7 gift card reload. On my AMEX Gold Card, the $7 Dunkin credit was backdated to post on the same day my $7 Dunkin purchase posted.
Even though I donut do not have any Dunkin locations nearby, I am sure I will pass a Dunkin location sometime this year at an airport or around the country. Just created my Dunkin account and didn’t need to do the workaround with the gift card. Maybe what you experienced was a temporarty glitch.

Dunkin cards are valid at Baskin Robbins and v.v. Many locations are combo Dunkin & Baskin Robbins stores, but the credit is only good on Dunkin register purchases, not Baskin Robbins. The Dunkin app / e gift card reload is the best option to ensure you can get the Amex credit.
I have a Baskin Robinns a short walk away, do you think I can go in to the standalone BR store and pay with the Dunkin app? That would be awesome.
Many airport locations are not owned by Dunkin but Host and they do accept the app, its perks or e/gift cards.
Hi Karen, just to confirm, does Host accept or not accept payment via the Dunkin app?

Instructions are inaccurate. They fall off the rails at. Scan Pay. It is buried in the Dunkin Card payment option
