Good afternoon everyone. Back in May, US Bank sent out emails to US Bank Radisson Rewards Credit Card members regarding a targeted spending offer. Spend $500 or more each month of May, June, and July and earn 20,000 bonus Radisson Rewards Points. 20,000 Radisson Rewards points are worth ~$100 to me, so I decided to complete the spending requirements. Fast forward to this week and the 20,000 bonus points just posted to my Radisson Rewards account.
Here are the complete terms and conditions of the promo:
Promotion period is from May 1, 2019, through July 31, 2019. Enroll in this promotion by May 31, 2019. Once you spend $500 in net purchases (net purchases are purchases minus credits and returns) each month during the entire promotion period you will be awarded 20,000 Radisson Rewards Points. The additional points will be credited to your account 10–12 weeks after the end of the promotion period. Your Account must remain open, have available credit and be current (no minimum payment past due) to qualify. This offer may not apply if the type of rewards that you earn changes within 12 weeks before May 1, 2019 or changes before the additional points are applied. Certain transactions do not qualify to earn this incentive, such as advances, convenience checks and balance transfers. See the Cardmember Agreement for complete details. This offer is accurate as of May 1, 2019.

Based on 10 weeks after July 31, the 20,000 bonus Radisson Rewards points posted a few days before the 10 week mark (no complaints from me). I first noticed the bonus points on my recent US Bank Radisson Rewards Credit Card statement.
The following day, I got an alert from AwardWallet that my Radisson Rewards account balance increased by 20,000 points.
I actually have 2 personal US Bank Radisson Rewards Credit Cards and both credit cards were targeted for this spending offer. I completed the spending requirements for both credit cards and saw the 20,000 bonus Radisson Rewards Points on both credit card statements, but only 1 of my Radisson Rewards accounts shows the 20,000 bonus Radisson Rewards points. I’m sure the bonus points for my other account will post in the next few days, but it is strange that both bonuses did not post on the same day, considering both credit card statements closed on the same day.
If you have any questions about this targeted spending offer, please leave a comment below. Have a great day everyone!
Thanks Grant. I didn’t start putting on spend on this card (even though I had it several years just for the annual 40,000 points a year). I rarely stay in Radisson chain hotels but they have some good options abroad so I figure eventually I’ll use them.
One thing I did do was recently (past 2 months) spend the $10,000 for the free night in any USA Property. You can do it up to 3 times ($30,000 spend) which I’ve done since there are some good/expensive properties in NYC and we plan to go next year.
Have you gotten these e-certificates and if so, where have you used them? I hope you’re doing well (We met up in Seattle at the FTU).
Hi Mike, I’ve never done the $10,000 or $30,000 spend to get the USA free night certs. If I had plans to visit Chicago or NYC, I would probably go for it as there are a few good Radisson hotels in those cities. Other than partaking in this spending offer, I usually don’t put any spend on these CCs and just pay the annual fee for the anniversary points.
Thanks Grant. Yes, I figured Chicago and NYC are the only options. Those hotels actually look nice and worth exploring (on free nights certificates). Funny I know a lot of people (and read about bloggers) with this card but don’t actually know of any that actively use their points. They just build up their points total with the annual fee. Ha, ha.
I guess I’ll try to use it once I get these 3 certificates. It sucks I have to wait until my card annual fee comes due which is May 2020 but I’ll see what they say on them. Hopefully I can really use them at the expensive properties in NYC. Thanks and safe travels.
Mike
I have been saving up Radisson Rewards points without a use in mind. There is a Country Inn & Suites by PDX airport that I go to often and it’s only 28,000 points/night.
What a difference from Amex Aspire where I got the 150K bonus points two days after doing the charge to put me over the $4K spend.
Yes, the AMEX Hilton Aspire sign up bonus posts super fast (https://travelwithgrant.boardingarea.com/2018/08/07/100k-hilton-points-post-4-days-after-meeting-minimum-spending-requirement/) compared to this targeted spending offer.
I also received my 20K – October 4th.
That’s great to hear, glad you got your bonus points.
I still have not received my bonus points which does not really surprise me as it had happened earlier last year ;) Most likely, I’ll have to bother to call them and …. get some courtesy bonus in addition to the offered one.
Since Wednesday October 9 is the 10 week mark, your bonus points should post between then and Wednesday October 23 (the 12 week mark). If they do not post by that date, you should call US Bank and tell them to look into the bonus for you (and throw you some courtesy points as well).
