Good afternoon everyone, I hope you had a great weekend. If you recently applied for the newly revamped American Express Green Card, you may have seen that a $100 Away credit is part of the sign up bonus. In this post, I will show you 5 things to buy with your $100 Away credit (even if you do not have / want an Away suitcase).
At our wedding, Laura and I received personalized Away suitcases with our initials (Bigger Carry On size). These are our first Away suitcases and we have already used them several times since the wedding. They hold up extremely well, fit easily in overhead bins, are super easy to maneuver, and have many great features (built in TSA lock, ejectable USB power pack, packing cubes, and compression system). If you need new suitcases, I cannot recommend Away suitcases enough (they also come with a lifetime warranty). There is also an Away referral system. If you use my referral link, you get $20 off your first suitcase purchase and I will get a $20 credit toward a suitcase.
But if you are not completely sold on buying new Away suitcases, there are 5 items (interior organizers and travel accessories) that can be used with other suitcase brands. All of these items are under $100 and are good uses of the $100 Away credit from the American Express Green Card. You can get a set of 4 packing cubes for $45. They come in 4 different sizes/shapes and many different colors. There is also a set of 6 packing cubes for $65. The black carry on garment bag is $65 and is a great way to travel with a suit or dry cleaned clothes. The Dopp Kit is $45 and can be used to organize and store your travel toiletries.
Away also has a few other items in their Extras section. I like the Passport Cover for $45 since my passport tends to get bent and beat up when it travels with me. I really liked the Jewelry Box for $75, but it is currently sold out of those 3 colors. It may return in other colors, so check back in a few weeks. The Slope Kit for $75 is a great gift for the skier or snowboarder in your life.
Lastly, if you have the $100 Away credit and need new suitcases, I highly recommend the Bigger Carry On (my referral link). If you are not in the market for new suitcases, the 5 items mentioned above should come in handy.
