Friday Funny: ChatGPT Brainstorms New Top Tier Elite Status Name Above Hyatt Globalist

Good afternoon everyone.  As I was going on my daily walk listing to my favorite miles and points podcast, I thought of a crazy idea.  With the recently announced changes to the World of Hyatt Milestone Rewards Chart, and the addition of the Ultimate Free Night Award at 150 elite nights, I thought about Hyatt Globalist elite status.  Since Hyatt Globalist elite status is achieved once you hit 60 elite nights, but the new Milestone Rewards chart goes up to 150 elite nights, it seems like there is a big hole for Hyatt to come up with a new top tier status that supersedes Globalist.  As a reminder, the current elite status tiers are called:

  • Discoverist (achieved with 10 elite nights)
  • Explorist (achieved with 30 elite nights)
  • Globalist (achieved with 60 elite nights)

With elite status tiers that start with the letters D, E, and G (I guess Hyatt decided to skip F words), maybe the new top tier would start with the letter H.  I decided to ask my AI friend ChatGPT for help.  Here is our conversation:

Grant: Hyatt elite status tiers are Discoverist, Explorist, and Globalist. What is the next status tier that starts with the letter H?

ChatGPT: Actually, the Hyatt elite status tiers don’t currently include a tier that starts with the letter H after Globalist. As of my last update, Globalist is the highest tier within the World of Hyatt program. There might be future changes or additions to their tier system, so it’s worth checking directly with Hyatt for any updates or new tiers that might have been introduced since then.

Obviously, ChatGPT wasn’t quite understanding what I was asking for, so I tried to ask the question another way:

Grant: Predict the next level of Hyatt status after Globalist

ChatGPT: Predicting the exact future tiers or changes within loyalty programs like Hyatt’s isn’t possible as it depends on the company’s strategies and market dynamics. However, some companies have introduced additional tiers or benefits in response to evolving customer needs and competitive landscapes. For instance, they might introduce new elite tiers, enhanced benefits, or adjusted qualification criteria based on customer feedback or market trends.

Hyatt, like other hospitality brands, could potentially consider expanding their loyalty program with new tiers offering heightened benefits or privileges for their most frequent guests. They might introduce a tier above Globalist with even more exclusive perks or elevated rewards. Still, it’s essential to check directly with Hyatt or their official announcements for the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding any changes to their loyalty program.

I still wasn’t getting anywhere, so I tried to ask a very basic question that didn’t mention Hyatt or any of the existing elite status tiers:

Grant: 10 words that start with “H” and end with “ist”

ChatGPT: Sure, here are ten words that start with “H” and end with “ist”:

Humanist
Harmonist
Hedonist
Heuristic
Herbalist
Hobbyist
Hypnotist
Humorist
Harmonicist
Harpsichordist

I chuckled at a few of these options, but I think my favorite answer so far is hedonist which means “a person who believes that the pursuit of pleasure is the most important thing in life; a pleasure-seeker.” That seems to line up pretty well with how I would describe most Hyatt Globalist.  I then wanted to see what other words ChatGPT could come up with and here is what it said:

Grant: 20 more words

ChatGPT: Of course! Here are ten more words that start with “H” and end with “ist”:

Historist
Haggardist
Hobbiest
Hydrologist
Holist
Harpist
Hominist
Honky-tonkist
Hirsutist
Hygienist
Hirsutist
Harpsichordist
Harmonicist
Horticulturist
Humorist
Humanitarianist
Hagiologist
Hellenist
Hairstylist
Herbalist

I got a good chuckle out of Hygienist and Hairstylist, but I don’t think Hyatt is going to pick either of those words to describe their top tier elite status.  Based on all the information in the world that ChatGPT has access to and my fraction of intelligence, we predict that Hedonist will be the new top tier elite status with Hyatt.  Do you agree or do you like one of the other 30 possible elite status names better?  Let me know in the comments and have a great weekend everyone!

Hi Brutus, I was thinking something along those lines too, since universe is larger than global, but I’m not sure if Hyatt will jump from G to U, but we will see.
