My Las Vegas Weekend: Linq Hotel, Caesar’s Diamond $100 Celebration Dinner & 2 InKind Restaurants

Good morning everyone, happy Friday!  Last weekend, I was in Las Vegas with my family.  I haven’t visited Las Vegas in probably 2 years, so it was nice to be back for a visit.  I flew Avelo, the new low cost airline, from Sonoma / Santa Rosa Airport (STS) to Las Vegas (LAS) and then took an Uber to the Linq Hotel (the hotel with the Linq High Roller observation wheel).  I used my Caesar’s Diamond elite status when booking the room so I got a good deal on the room and paid no resort fees due to my elite status.  After checking in, I went to the Caesars Rewards desk and asked for a new rewards card (my old card expired January 2023).  I then checked to see what promos I had available and there was a coupon for 2 free tickets to the Linq High Roller observation wheel and my $100 Celebration Dinner.

I looked up the list of participating restaurants and saw that Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar (inside the Linq) was a participating restaurant.  We decided to go there for dinner and had burgers, fries, and beers – and the total bill came out to $98 and I was able to pay the whole bill with my $100 Celebration Dinner.  We then left a cash tip for the waiter.

The next day for breakfast, I checked the InKind app and saw that Cafe Hollywood (located in Planet Hollywood) and Citizens Kitchen and Bar (located in Mandalay Bay) were available.  We walked from the Linq to Cafe Hollywood and paid for breakfast with my InKind balance.  If you are new to InKind, you can get a $25 InKind credit after you spend $50 or more with InKind when you use my InKind referral link (https://app.inkind.com/refer/DB06KWHX).  The following day, we took an Uber from the Linq to the Mandalay Bay and ate at Citizens Kitchen and Bar for breakfast, also paid for with my InKind balance.  Cafe Hollywood had InKind integrated into their POS system, but Citizens Kitchen and Bar did not.  At Citizens, I told the waiter that I paid with InKind and then they had to track down their manager to mark the check as paid on their system, which added a few extra minutes to the process.  I didn’t have a chance to use InKind for any lunch or dinner restaurants, but there are 6-10 InKind restaurants on the Las Vegas Strip.

During my time in Las Vegas, we went to the Boise State vs. UNLV college football game at Allegiant Stadium (home to the Las Vegas Raiders) – Go Boise State Broncos!  We rode the Linq High Roller observation wheel at night and had great views of the Las Vegas skyline and Sphere.  We played TopGolf and went to a comedy show.  We also rode the Monorail a few times since there was a stop at the Linq.  Its amazing how much you can pack into a weekend in Las Vegas!

My Caesar’s Diamond elite status will renew on February 1, 2024 and I am trying to plan a return trip early next year to take advantage of the $100 Celebration Credit and see what other Caesars Diamond goodies are available.  If you have any questions about anything mentioned above, please leave a comment below.  Have a great weekend everyone!

I have the Barclays Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Credit Card which allows me to match my Wyndham Rewards Diamond to Caesars Rewards Diamond status.
