Updated at 7:20am PT on 5/23/24: I received the $5 cash back this morning (5/23) for sending the $50 gift card through Venmo. I will post another update when I receive the $5 cash back from the $25 Starbucks reload.
Good afternoon everyone, I just received this email from Venmo about 2 promos. You can get $5 cash back after you spend $25 in the Starbucks app or reload $25 to your Starbucks balance. You can also earn $5 cash back after sending a $50 gift card via the Venmo app, up to 3 times ($15 cash back limit). I decided to jump on both deals since I use the Venmo and Starbucks apps often.
The $5 cash back will post 7-14 days after you use the promo and there are limits on the number of redemptions per deal. Here are the complete terms from the bottom of the email (important details are bolded below):
¹Q2 2024 – Venmo Starbucks Offer Terms – Spend $25, get $5 back
Eligible Participant: Open only to individuals who (1) have an existing U.S. Venmo account (“Valid Account”), (2) are residents of any one (1) of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia, (3) are eighteen (18) years of age or older; and (4) receive an email or view an in app banner or tile from Venmo inviting participation in the offer (“Invitation”)(eligibility for/those who receive the Rewards will be determined solely by Venmo) (“Eligible Participant”).
Offer Period: Starts May 16, 2024, at 12:00:00 a.m. Pacific Time (“PT”), and ends on May 30, 2023, at 11:59:59 p.m. PT (“Offer Period”).
How it Works: An Eligible Participant must successfully complete the following to qualify for a Reward (defined below):
(1) Complete purchases totaling a minimum of $25 USD or more in the Starbucks app, using Venmo during the Offer Period (“Qualifying Transaction”).
Once the Qualifying Transaction has been completed and verified by Venmo, Eligible Participants will earn $5 USD (“Reward”). The Reward will be added to your Venmo account balance within fourteen (14) days after the Qualifying Transactions are completed and verified by Venmo but may be available sooner. There are only 14,000 Rewards available during the Offer Period; Rewards will no longer be available once the limit is reached. There is a limit of one (1) Reward (max $5 USD) per Valid Account.
Miscellaneous: Qualifying Transactions are subject to review and verification. Venmo may provide an alternate reward of equal value if it is unable for any reason to fulfill the Reward for any reason. Venmo reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify this offer in part or in its entirety at any time without notice, for any reason in its sole discretion. Similar offers may run at the same time; qualification for this offer does not constitute qualification for any other offer. Venmo is not responsible and/or liable if any e-mail, Reward, Qualifying Transaction, or offer-related materials or correspondence are lost, fraudulent, abusive, stolen, late, incomplete, illegible, interrupted, delayed, altered, defective, misdirected, tampered with, or irregular in any way or if any participant’s e-mail address, Valid Account, or other contact information does not work, is deleted, or is changed without participant giving prior written notice to Venmo. Venmo reserves the right to review any account or transaction related to this offer, in its sole discretion, without notice, and delay or reverse completion of the Reward. Offer Period: Starts May 1, 2024, at 12:00:00 a.m. Pacific Time (PT) and ends on May 31, 2024, at 11:59:59 p.m. PT (“Offer Period”).
How it Works: An Eligible Participant must successfully complete the following during the Offer Period to qualify for a Reward (defined below):
(1) Complete an eligible purchase of a gift card from participating merchants on Venmo of at least $50 USD or more during the Offer Period. (Google Play, Target and TJ Maxx gift cards are excluded and will not qualify as an eligible purchase under this offer).

Here is the link to reload your Starbucks app (link works best on your mobile phone if you have the Starbucks app installed). I selected Venmo as a payment method and reloaded $25 to my account.
I then received the $25 Starbucks reload receipt via email. 1 done, 1 to go.
On May 31, I received the $5 cash back from Venmo. It took about 9 days to receive the cash back. I then removed my Venmo from my Starbucks app.

I then received the $50 Starbucks / Venmo receipt via email. 2 done, now time to wait for both $5 cash back payments from Venmo.
Here is the $5 cash back email I received from Venmo the following morning. It took about 12 hours from purchasing the $50 gift card to receiving the $5 cash back.
