American Express Hilton Honors Aspire Credit Card: Spend Tracker, Referrals & All Benefits

Good morning everyone.  I hope you enjoyed yesterday’s post: American Express Hilton Honors Aspire Credit Card: Welcome Packet, Welcome Letters & Card Art.  In today’s post, I am going to share with you the Hilton $60,000 spend tracker, mention the referral bonus, and go through all the card benefits.  American Express packs a lot of card benefits into this credit card and shows a few of their most popular card benefits right on the card home page.  Let’s examine each card benefit one at a time, starting with the $60,000 spend tracker to get a free weekend night certificate.

The spend tracker will show you how close (or far away) you are to the $60,000 spend required to earn another free weekend night certificate.

There is also a decent referral for the American Express Hilton Honors Aspire Credit Card.  The credit card offers a 100,000 Hilton Honors points sign up bonus after spending $4,000 in 3 months.  You can get 25,000 Hilton Honors points per referral, up to 80,000 Hilton Honors points per year.  If anyone is interested in applying for this credit card, here is my referral link.  Thank you!

When you click on the referral link, you will see a banner at the top of the page that says you were referred to the American Express Hilton Honors Aspire Credit Card.

Back on the home page, you can see some of the card benefits prominently displayed in the AMEX Offers section.

For some reason, when I click on the Enroll Now button, I get an error message.  I will call American Express about this error message.

Without further ado, here are the first 3 card benefits of the American Express Hilton Honors Aspire Credit Card.  I will go into more detail on each interesting card benefit.

The American Express Hilton Honors Aspire Credit Card earns 14x at Hilton properties; 7x on airfare booked through amextravel.com, car rentals, and restaurants; and 3x everywhere else.

As a American Express Hilton Honors Aspire Credit Card member, you will have Hilton Diamond Elite Status, which is awesome!  Enjoy earning 50% bonus on Hilton stays, room upgrades, free breakfast, and executive lounge access.

Also, you will receive a free weekend night certificate every year you keep your American Express Hilton Honors Aspire Credit Card and pay the $450 annual fee.  Make sure to read the terms so you know the rules surrounding the free weekend night certificate.  You have to book and stay at the Hilton property before the free night certificate expiration date.

Here are the next 3 card benefits.

As mentioned earlier, if you spend $60,000 or more on the American Express Hilton Honors Aspire Credit Card during your cardmember year, you will get another free weekend night certificate.

You also get $250 Hilton resort credit every year, which can be used for any Hilton Resorts room charge.

The $100 property credit only applies to 2 or more night stays at Waldorf Astoria or Conrad Hotels & Resorts.  You must book through the special link to get the card benefit.a screenshot of a website

Here are the next 3 card benefits.

Just like the American Express Platinum Charge Cards, you get airline fee credit.  You can get up to $250 reimbursed each cardmember year.  Unfortunately, this card benefit was not working properly for me when I tried it last night.

You also get (another) Priority Pass card.  This card allows the cardmember and 2 guests free admission to any Priority Pass lounge.  Each additional guest costs $27.  I tried to enroll in this benefit last night and it wasn’t working either.

Here are the remaining card benefits.  Nothing stands out as interesting here.

Grant, thanks for the great coverage on this new card. Does Amex offer upgrades at this time for people who currently hold other Hilton Honors cards? Do the offers vary based upon specific prior card, card usage etc similar to how it used to be for retention offers ? Also, any thoughts as to limitations on the number of free night certificates for anyone having more then one Hilton card. Thanks.

I don’t think American Express will let you upgrade to the Aspire credit card. I called a few months ago to see if I could upgrade from the Ascend red but was told no. That could have changed in the last few months though. As far as free weekend night certificates, I do t think there is a limit.

I re-read this post three times. Can you confirm that we get one weekend night immediately after the approval (and again on our account-opening anniversary every year)?

Err it says 8-14 weeks after account opening. It was underlined in red. Perhaps read it again or additional terms?

Yes, you should receive the free weekend night certificate in 8-14 weeks from the date of approval. Hopefully sooner. You should receive an email that you received the free weekend night certificate. You may also see the free weekend night certificate deposited to your Hilton account by looking st your account transactions.

Got the card in Feb and only last week did I get the email saying that the free weekend night certificate will arrive within 8-14 weeks. Seems like an awfully long time especially since its been about 8 weeks since I was approved for the card.

Hmm, that is a pretty long time. Try calling Hilton and see if they can provide a more specific date range of when to expect the free weekend night certificate to get deposited to your Hilton account. Call the Hilton Diamond number to get the best service.

Got something to say?
