Good afternoon everyone, I hope your week is going well.  I am really late to the party, but US Bank sent out emails last week to cardholders with a $10 bonus if you added your US Bank credit card to your ApplePay wallet and made an ApplePay purchase of $10 or more.  I received the email for my US Bank Club Carlson Personal Credit Card, US Bank FlexPerks Select+ American Express Credit Card, and US Bank Cash+ Credit Card.  I have 3 other US Bank credit cards that did not receive the email.

There are 2 ways to use ApplePay: in-app purchases, such as buying tickets from the StubHub app or for paying for your Uber/Lyft ride; or in-store purchases, made at the register at your local store or gas station.  I’m not sure if both ways will trigger the bonus, but I assume so.

Even though I only received the email for 3 of my 6 US Bank credit cards, I decided to add all of my US Bank credit cards to my ApplePay Wallet (I removed my US Bank Cash+ Credit Card because I already made a qualifying ApplePay purchase and didn’t want to accidentally use that credit card again).  I’m not sure if US Bank has great records to see if only targeted US Bank credit cards who made a qualifying ApplePay purchase will receive the $10 statement credit, but I will give it a try and see what happens.

Here are the terms and conditions of the ApplePay promo:

Promotion period is from May 23, 2017 through June 30, 2017. The $10 statement credit will be awarded once you make at least one $10 net purchase (purchases minus credit and returns) during the entire promotion period. The $10 statement credit will be applied to your Account 10-12 weeks after the end of the promotion period. The maximum number of statement credits is one. Your Account must remain open, have available credit and be current (no minimum payment past due) to qualify. This offer may not apply if your credit card has changed to a different type of card within the last 12 weeks or changes before the statement credit is applied. This offer is accurate as of 5/1/2017.
