Good afternoon everyone. A few days ago, I wrote Unboxing American Express Delta Platinum SkyMiles Credit Card: Card Art, Welcome Documents & Benefits. In that post, I mentioned that the sign up bonus for the American Express Delta Platinum Credit Card was 70,000 Delta SkyMiles and 10,000 Medallion Qualifying Miles (MQMs) after spending $3,000 in 3 months. I am happy to report that the sign up bonus posts really fast after you complete the minimum spending requirement. After logging into my American Express online account, I found out that the 70,000 Delta SkyMiles posted to my Delta account (I had less than 5,000 Delta SkyMiles a week ago, now I have 74,564 Delta SkyMiles).
I made 3 purchases from July 19-20 that totaled more than $3,000.
I logged into my Delta account and viewed my Delta SkyMiles account activity. On this page, I can see 3 transactions (all from July 24):
- 10,000 MQMs + 10,000 Delta SkyMiles
- 13,000 Delta SkyMiles
- 47,000 Delta SkyMiles
I am not sure why there are 3 transactions instead of 1 transaction, but the total number of miles and MQMs is correct (70,000 Delta SkyMiles and 10,000 MQMs).
I don’t have an immediate use for these Delta SkyMiles, but it’s good to know that these miles never expire. If you have any questions about the American Express Delta Platinum Credit Card, please leave a comment below. Have a great day everyone!
I wonder if Amex will enforce the rule about buying GCs with this card? I have the mailer (70k at $4k spend) and was thinking about applying.
I would be cautious buying GCs with an AMEX CC to meet minimum spend.
