Hotel Review: Hilton Beijing Capital Airport (Beautiful Hotel Close to PEK)

Good morning everyone.  As part of my 10 Day Asia Trip, I spent my first night at the Hilton Beijing Capital Airport.  This hotel is 5 minutes away from Beijing Capital Airport (PEK) and I took the complimentary airport shuttle to the hotel.  Before I arrived in Beijing, the front desk sent me a helpful email with directions on where to meet the airport shuttle.  When I originally booked this hotel a few months ago, I believe the price was roughly $190 USD, but I opted to use 40,000 Hilton Honors Points instead.  A few days before my trip, I checked the hotel prices and the price was down to around $120 USD or 36,000 Hilton Honors Points.  I ended up cancelling my points reservation and rebooking the paid rate.  Between paying with my American Express Hilton Aspire Credit Card, my Hilton Diamond Elite Status, and various Hilton promos, I ended up earning 9,450 Hilton Honors Points, which is worth $47.25 to me (I value Hilton Honors Points at 0.5 cents per point).

I’ve stayed at a handful of airport hotels, but this hotel was different… it was really nice!  The check in area was beautiful, my room was great, the lounge was refreshing, and the breakfast spread had many options.

The elevators were gold colored and very luxurious.  The hallways were very elegant.

I stayed in a corner room, number 6006, on the 6th floor.  Near the front door, there was a large closet with robes, coat hangers, and a room safe.

The room had a great view of the airport and the king bed was very soft, just what I needed after a long international flight.

There was a desk and TV in the room.  Beneath the TV, there was a mini fridge and a small mini bar and coffee maker.

The bathroom had an enclosed shower, an enclosed toilet, and a beautiful mirror.

Here is a close up of the shower and toilet.  The shower would be great for someone who is really tall.

There were many individually wrapped toiletries next to the sink.  The large bathtub had blinds that can be opened or closed to view the rest of the room.

If you are a Hilton Gold or Hilton Diamond Elite Member, you have complimentary access to the executive lounge on the second floor.  I arrived to the lounge a few minutes before it closed, so I grabbed a cold water bottle and loaded up my plate with fruits and some crackers.

You are going to realize this pretty quickly from my hotel reviews, but I love to eat fresh fruit, fruit juice, hot tea, cereal, pastries, pancakes and waffles for breakfast.  This hotel had all of that plus much, much more.  There are traditional Asian breakfast options along with traditional American breakfast option too (eggs, bacon, sausage, etc.).

The next time I visit Beijing, I would definitely stay at the Hilton Beijing Capital Airport.  It is definitely worth at least 40,000 Hilton Honors Points or $200+ USD.  If you have any questions about the hotel, please leave a comment below.  Have a great day everyone!
