Good afternoon everyone, I hope you had a great weekend. Last weekend, I flew Avelo Air from Santa Rosa, CA (STS) to Boise, ID (BOI) to visit my parents. The weather was perfect and I enjoyed going to a real pumpkin patch and getting lost in a huge corn maze. 2 weeks ago, Doctor of Credit wrote about Major Changes To U.S. Bank Altitude Connect Card, mainly that the credit card removed the $95 annual fee and now has a $0 annual fee. Looking at the Altitude Connect credit card homepage, doesn’t look that exciting, but it has several great benefits on a $0 annual fee card…
This credit card gives you 4 free Priority Pass visits every year that can be used at restaurants (and Priority lounges and participating spas), along with $100 TSA PreCheck / Global Entry credit, free GigSky global mobile data plans, and travel protections if your flight is cancelled or delayed by 2+ hours. In this post, I will focus on the 4 free Priority Pass restaurant visits.
2 weeks ago, I had 2 US Bank Cash Plus Credit Cards, but I was only using 1 Cash Plus card. The other Cash Plus card was getting dusty in my drawer. I called US Bank to see if I could product change one of my Cash Plus cards to an Altitude Connect card and the rep said yes. The rep processed my request and my new Altitude Connect card was on its way.
Once I received and activated the Altitude Connect card, I went to this Priority Pass link to enroll my Altitude Connect in Priority Pass.
The entire process to enroll in Priority Pass took about 5 minutes.
Once I finished enrolling, my new Priority Pass membership was created and my new Priority Pass card should arrive in the next 1-2 weeks. With this membership, I have 4 free visits between now and September 29, 2025.
I now have 16 Priority Pass restaurant visits between 3 cards: US Bank Altitude Reserve (8 visits), US Bank Business Altitude Connect (4 visits), and US Bank Altitude Connect (4 visits). That should be enough for Laura and I when we travel. I am interested in learning more about the free GigSky global mobile data plans. Does anyone have any experience with that benefit? If you have any questions about the Altitude Connect, please leave a comment below. Have a great day everyone!
I’m interested in the Gigsky benefit as well. Please let us know what u find out
This is what I found about the GigSky benefit: https://www.gigsky.com/usb-visa-faqs
“Q: What is GigSky?
A: When traveling internationally, eligible cardholders can get data coverage almost anywhere they go with Visa and GigSky. GigSky is a simple solution for keeping people, teams and devices connected around the globe. U.S. Bank Altitude Connect Visa Signature cardholders can now use the GigSky app to access complimentary global mobile data when and where they want, in over 125 countries worldwide. Select a plan from the app, download an eSIM and connect on the spot—no physical SIM card required. They won’t have to deal with frustrating roaming charges from their home mobile carrier, and they can say goodbye to slow international 2G.

Q: What GigSky data plan will I receive with my eligible Visa Card?
A: U.S. Bank Altitude Connect Visa Signature cardholders can receive a 5 GB, 15-day complimentary cellular data roaming for use in over 125 countries.”
Just want to point out its 12hrs+ for trip delay reimbursement per the benefits guide
Dang, 12 hours before the trip delay reimbursement kicks in is a really long time.
I knew 2hrs Trip delay sounded too good to be true for a $0 AF card
Does priority pass include restaurants on all of them? I know it does on the reserve.
Hi Lynn, yes, all US Bank CCs that offer Priority Pass can be used at Priority Pass restaurants.
