Good morning everyone, I just logged into my American Express online account and saw a $10 statement credit from “AMERICAN EXPRESS COMNEW YORK”. I did a little digging and discovered that it was the $10 statement credit from the $50 Nike eGift Card AMEX Offer from a few weeks ago.
I made the purchase on July 11 and waited and waited for the $10 statement credit to post.
The statement credit finally posted yesterday on August 3. I’m not sure why it took so long, but if you participated in the promo, you should see the $10 statement credit in your American Express account.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment below. Have a great weekend everyone!
GTK they finally posted on their own. I had to call and speak with someone in India twice (because the first agent did not apply the statement credit to ALL of my cards as he said he had). The whole process (which began with a painfully long online chat) made me understand why the average user likely would never want to bother with Amex Offers or may be inclined to cancel altogether after being forced to speak with a “specialist” in another country. I somewhat understand it for free accounts, but it is a pretty appalling service standard for accounts with a $550 AF. So better that you didn’t have to speak with anyone. :)
Yikes, that is a lot of work for the $10 statement credits :(
When you bought the Nike giftcard, was it immediately available to use at a Nike store or online? Thanks.
I assume so, but I sold my Nike eGC online to TPM, so I can’t say for sure.
