A few hours ago, I received an email from Hyatt with the subject line of “A Mystery Offer Awaits When You Purchase 5,000 Points.” I decided to check it out and see what Hyatt mystery offer I was offered. You can check out your own offer here. You will need to enter your full name, Hyatt account number, and email address to see your mystery offer.
My mystery offer was for a 40% bonus on Hyatt Points. I wanted to see if that was high or low, so I checked my parents’ Hyatt accounts too (thanks to Award Wallet for storing their account info). Unfortunately, they both got 30% bonus mystery offers. I still don’t know if 40% bonus is the highest offer, but that is what I got. I’m not planning on buying any Hyatt Points right now, since I have a lot of Chase Ultimate Rewards Points I could transfer to Hyatt if I needed to book a Hyatt stay. If you are considering buying Hyatt Points, check the math to make sure it makes sense for you.

I got 30%, so it seems like your offer is on the higher side. For me, 30% is definitely not worth buying, unless I was out of points and needed a few thousand for a redemption.
I can’t remember how high the offers go, but I think 40-50% bonus comes around pretty common.
