$10 Statement Credit Posted for $50 PayPal Purchase (US Bank December 2020 Promo)

Good morning everyone, happy Super Bowl Sunday!  2 months ago, US Bank sent out a (targeted?) promo to US Bank credit card holders where you could earn a $10 statement credit for adding your credit card to PayPal and making $50 of PayPal purchases by December 31, 2020.  This was an easy money maker for me, so I added my US Bank Altitude Reserve Credit Card to my PayPal account and made a $50 purchase.  The $10 statement credit took a while to post to my account, but finally posted on February 5, 2021 (a day after my February credit card statement closed).  If you participated and completed this promo, you should see the $10 statement credit right after your February 2021 statement closes.

Here were the complete terms and conditions for the promo:

To be eligible for this offer that runs from October 28 through December 31, 2020 (promotion period), use your U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve Card to make at least $50 in PayPal transactions during the promotion period. The statement credit will be applied to your account within 2-3 billing cycles after the end of the promotion period. The maximum number of statement credits is one (1) and this offer is not transferable. Your account must remain open, have available credit, and be current (no minimum payment past due) to qualify. This offer may not apply if your credit card has changed to a different type of card within the last 12 weeks or changes before the statement credit is applied. This offer is accurate as of October 15, 2020. If you have any questions, call Cardmember Service at 844.357.2015.

Recent changes to your account may impact your eligibility to enroll in PayPal from U.S. Bank. Account must be open and in good standing to earn and redeem rewards and benefits. Rewards are based on eligible net purchases. Net purchases are purchases minus credits and returns. Not all transactions are eligible to earn rewards, such as Advances, Balance Transfers and Convenience Checks. See your Cardmember Agreement for details.

On February 6, I received an email from US Bank that I received a $10 statement credit.

I logged into my US Bank online account and spotted the $10 statement credit.  Better late than never.

US Bank runs these targeted spending offers a few times a year, so if you weren’t targeted for this promo, keep your eyes open for the next promo.  If you have any questions, please let me know.  Have a great weekend everyone!
