Updated at 1pm PT on 12/16/21: According to Richard Kerr (Director of Travel Rewards at Bilt Rewards): “looks like we have an out of date email going out; you earn 100 miles per account you link for each of our 7 airline and 2 hotel partners for a total of 900 points.” Based on that info, you can link all 9 of Bilt Rewards current airline and hotel partners to earn a total of 900 points. Richard also said: “More ways to earn points without the card coming soon – but we hope you’ll get the card.” I’m looking forward to seeing the future earning opportunities with Bilt Rewards.
Good afternoon everyone. A few days ago, I signed up for the Bilt Rewards program (even though I do not have an apartment or pay rent). Bilt Rewards allows you to earn points for paying rent, but you can also earn points with the Bilt Rewards Credit Card (read Frequent Miler’s review). If you are new to Bilt Rewards, you can sign up with Frequent Miler’s code to skip the waitlist (FM4BILT). Once you sign up, download the Bilt Rewards app (iOS and Android). There is currently a promo where you can earn 300 points for linking your America Airlines, Emirates, and Hawaiian Airlines accounts to the app. The points post instantly, but you need a minimum of 1,000 points to transfer to an airline partner.
Once you download the app, sign in, and click the Flights tab at the top. Then go through the steps to link your America Airlines, Emirates, and Hawaiian Airlines accounts. You will see the 300 points right away on the Account tab. I do not think there is a promo for linking any other airline or hotel loyalty programs to the app, so I would wait to see if there is a promo in the future.
Points transfer 1:1 with each program, but you need a minimum of 1,000 points (or 5,000 if you are a Bilt Rewards Blue member).
Even though you cannot do anything with 300 points, I am hoping we see more promotions and ways to earn points with Bilt Rewards in 2022. If you have any questions about the Bilt Rewards program or app, please leave a comment below. Have a great day everyone!
Considering getting Bilt. What should landlords need to do for us to use this card? Do they need to sign up somewhere? My landlord prefers PayPal transfer.
Hi Sam, I have not used Bilt to pay rent, so I am not 100% sure, but I think there are 2 options:
* If your landlord is already on Bilt, then the payment should be sent via ACH to your landlord’s account
* If your landlord is not on Bilt, then Bilt sends a paper check to your landlord
If someone has used Bilt to pay rent, please correct me if I am wrong. Thank you.
Thank you Grant. That certainly helps. My landlord is NOT part of the alliance and would highly desire to receive rent payments via ACH. So I am still figuring out what should they need to do to be part of the Bilt alliance.
I’m not sure what the process is for your landlord to become a Bilt landlord and get paid via ACH. All I can find on the Bilt website is “If you rent outside the Bilt Rewards Network, don’t worry. Just pay rent with your Bilt Mastercard® through our app and we’ll send a check to your landlord on your behalf. No additional cost.”
That’s Correct Grant. They mail a check to the landlord and it’s super easy. My landlord is not part of the alliance and I have not had any issues. You can even see a copy of the check.
Hi Sonu, thank you for confirming. Seems like a good system for paying rent.
