Buy Miles / Points Promos Ending Soon: Hilton (100%), Wyndham Hotels (60%) & Many More in December

Good afternoon everyone, happy Friday!  I was working on my Buy Miles & Points Page and found 2 offers that end this month and many more end in December (see the list at the bottom of this post).  Always check the math to make sure that buying miles & points makes sense for you.  Do not buy miles & points speculatively unless you have a use in mind.  With that said, here are 2 offers that end soon.

Up first, Hilton Hotels is offering up to a 100% bonus, depending on the number of Hilton Honors Points you purchase. This offer expires on November 27.

All purchases must be made through the Purchase page on HiltonHonors.com. The 100% Points bonus campaign is available for purchases of 5,000 or more Points made between October 9, 2024, at 12:00am ET and November 27, 2024, at 11:59pm ET. Offer cannot be combined with any other offer. Points will be posted to the recipients Hilton Honors account within 48 hours of the completed transaction. All Hilton Honors Terms and Conditions apply. Hilton HonorsTM membership, earning and redemption of Points are subject to Honors Terms and Conditions, available at HiltonHonors.com/Terms. Point values represented above are rounded and subject to change based on seasonality/availability.

Up next, Wyndham Hotels is offering up to a 60% bonus, depending on the number of Wyndham Rewards Points you purchase.  This offer expires on November 30 (but the terms show an end date of November 27).

Here are the complete terms & conditions of the Wyndham Hotels promo:

Between November 20, 2024, 12:00:01 am ET and November 27, 2024, 11:59:59 pm ET (the “Promotion Period”), this offer provides Wyndham Rewards members who purchase at least three thousand (3,000) Wyndham Rewards points in a single transaction through points.com are eligible to receive a “mystery” bonus. This “mystery” bonus will be randomly assigned to Wyndham Rewards members upon being prompted to login to their Wyndham Rewards account. The “mystery” bonus will award additional points in an amount equal to fifty percent (60%) of underlying point purchase (the additional points earned pursuant to this offer, the “Bonus”). Purchases of fewer than 3,000 points in a single transaction will not qualify for a Bonus. For the duration of this Promotion Period, the annual limit on Wyndham Rewards points purchases through points.com has been raised from a total of 100,000 Wyndham Rewards points (the “Standard Limit”) to a total of 200,000 Wyndham Rewards points (the “Increased Limit”). For clarity, (i) only underlying points purchases, but not Bonuses, will be counted for the purpose of determining whether the Standard Limit or Increased Limit has been reached, and (ii) the Increased Limit will expire simultaneously with the Promotion Period, at which time the Standard Limit will again come into effect for the 2024 calendar year. Offer is subject to change. Offer cannot be combined with any other offer. Only purchases made online are eligible for this offer. Points will be posted to the recipient’s Wyndham Rewards account within 72 hours after the completed transaction. Points purchases do not count toward Member Levels. All points.com transactions are final and non-refundable. A GST/HST charge applies to purchases by Canadian residents. An additional QST charge applies to purchases by Quebec residents. Points.com and Wyndham Rewards reserve the right to terminate this offer at any time. Points purchased are subject to the Wyndham Rewards program terms and conditions.

Totally off this topic, but you wrote about this a month or so ago and I want your perspective…………….My wife and I each have 500K Alaska miles in our respective accounts. I have 140K Hawaiian miles in my account. She has zero. Not until I read your article did I realize that Hawaiian’s program provided a way to combine Alaska miles into 1 Alaska account by throwing both piles over to Hawaiian, combining them there, and then throwing the integrated amount back to one Alaska account. Can you think of any reason not to do this if the following assumptions are true?: Both players live till 85+ and both players remain in total sync as to how to use any redemption. It seems like being able to pull from one huge account provides a bigger umbrella under which to redeem large redemptions, such as international biz class tix. But maybe I’m missing something.

Hi Mike, I’m not sure if you need a HA CC to transfer HA miles. That might be the only issue. I think it’s always easier to book flights from the same account so having all the miles in one account would be preferred.

Thanks to both of you. What role does the Hawaiian credit card play in this? Does it allow for transferring miles from one Hawaiian account to the other?

Got something to say?
