How to Reload your Bay Area BART Clipper Card at Whole Foods Market

Good morning everyone.  Yesterday at work, my coworker mentioned the recent round of AMEX Offers (yes, I work with people who are miles and points collectors too).  I told him about my recent gift card score at Home Depot ($75 of Panera Bread and $75 of Starbucks Gift Cards) and then I told him that there were no third party gift cards at Whole Foods.  He told me that I could reload my Clipper Card (card used for public transportation around the Bay Area and to/from SFO and OAK airports) at Whole Foods.  Really?  This was too good to be true, so I had to test it out.  After work, I took my Clipper Card “shopping” at Whole Foods to find out.

Which Gift Cards are Sold at Home Depot & Whole Foods? (Photos of Gift Card Racks)

Good morning everyone, yesterday I wrote New AMEX Offers: Home Depot, Whole Foods, Fairway Market, and Hilton Garden Inn.  In that post, I recommended buying gift cards at various merchants to complete the AMEX Offers.  I knew Home Depot sold third party gift cards, but I wasn’t sure about the others.  Last night after work, I went hunting for gift cards at Home Depot.  I needed to buy $75 worth of gift cards to trigger the $15 statement credit ($15 back represents a 20% discount on the face value of the gift card).

Developing Story: Sam’s Club Gift Cards Now Adding Shipping Costs ($6.06-$53.83)

(Hat Tip to Manhar for the email)

Good evening everyone.  Earlier today, I read Doctor of Credit’s post about Sam’s Club: Gift Cards Gone AWOL, Credits Posting & More.  It seems like Sam’s Club is having some difficulties handling their AMEX Offer.  Then a few minutes ago, I received an email alerting me to changes in the gift card shopping experience.  It looks like Sam’s Club is now adding shipping costs to orders of Sam’s Club Gift Cards.  That ain’t right!

After adding a $50 Sam’s Club Gift Card to my shopping cart, I entered my zipcode for Northern California and the estimated shipping was $6.06.  Previously, all gift card shipments were free.

iTunes AMEX Offer Update: Statement Credits and Shopping Portal Bonuses Posted

(Hat Tip to Racerboy80 for confirming both bonuses posted)

Good morning everyone, TGI Friday!  A few days ago, I posted AMEX Offers: Free $5 from iTunes and Free $10 from Rhapsody.  The offer was pretty good, spend $5 on iTunes and get a $5 statement credit.  Some people reported getting a better AMEX Offer that said spend $10 on iTunes and get a $10 statement credit.  I went through Ebates and purchased a $10 iTunes eGift Card.  Would both actions earn cash back?
