Good evening everyone. After going 0 for 3 with good targeted credit card offers this morning (Targeted Q2 Credit Card Offers: 4,000 Hyatt Points, 3,000 IHG Reward Points & 2,500 Lufthansa Miles), I have 2 fairly decent offers to share. Up first, I have the Barclay JetBlue Credit Card with 10,000 bonus TrueBlue Points after spending $750 in April, May, and June. 10,000 TrueBlue Points is worth ~$150 to me, so that represents a return of 6.67% ($150 / $2,250). This is a pretty good offer, so I will probably go for this offer.
This is an all or nothing offer. Here are the complete terms and conditions of the offer:
Up last, I have the US Bank Club Carlson Personal Visa Signature Credit Card with a $25 statement credit for making 3 $25 PayPal payments using the credit card between March 29 and May 31 (not the standard time range for Q2 offers). If I make 3 $25 PayPal payments and get a $25 statement credit, that is a 33% return. I believe pretty much every PayPal payment will work as long as you pay with your Club Carlson credit card. Even though this offer is specific to me, there is no way to accept or enroll in the offer, so you may want to go for it if you are feeling lucky.
The real downside of this offer is that the bonus will be paid 10-12 weeks after the promo ends on May 31. Here are the complete terms and conditions of the offer:
It looks like I am 2 for 2 on these targeted credit card offers. I expect more offers to arrive in the next few days (both via email and USPS mail). I will keep you posted on any other offers I receive. Did you receive a similar or better offer than the ones listed above? Did you receive targeted offers on other credit cards? Share your data points below. If you have any questions, please leave a comment below. Have a great evening everyone!
How so you calculate the value of points to you? E.g. 10,000 points = $150?
Each JetBlue point is worth ~1.5 cents so multiply that by 10,000 = $150.
I guess I’m math-challenged…how is each JB pt worth 1.5 cents? You need to spend $750 x 3 = $2,250 / 10,000 points = .225 value for each point. No?
You are calculating the number of points you earn per dollar. The value of JetBlue points is based on the number fo JetBlue points needed to pay for a JetBlue flight. If a JetBlue flight costs $150 or 10,000 JetBlue points, then each JetBlue point is worth 1.5 cents per point.
Got it! Thanks!
I received a targeted JetBlue offer for 2 bonus points on select categories in Q2 (gas, dep’t stores, home improvement) up to 2,500 points
Thank you for that data point. Are you planning on completing that targeted bonus?
