Blog Readers Appreciation Day: 3 $10 Amazon eGift Card Giveaway

Good afternoon everyone, I hope your weekend is going well and that the weather is not too bad wherever you are.  I just wanted to thank all the readers for making February my best month ever in terms of total page views.  My goal for February was to break the 100,000 total page view mark, but I completely blew past that mark, finishing at 121,103 total page views!  My goal for March is to go for 150,000 total page views.

TWG Stats for February 2015

I also wanted to mention that I had my best month ever in terms of Amazon sales.  I really appreciate everyone who supports this blog by clicking on the Amazon link on my sidebar before making their next purchase on Amazon.  I also have an Ebay link, so if you ever bid or purchase an item on Ebay with Buy It Now, please consider clicking on the Ebay logo on my sidebar first.  Thank you!

Last but not least, thank you to everyone who applied for a credit card using my credit card affiliate links.  It is a great feeling when I log into my affiliate account and see a few approved credit card offers.  If you ever need help figuring out which credit cards to apply for, please complete my credit card questionnaire form and I will give you a personalized recommendation based on your existing credit cards and travel goals.

Now it is time for the giveaway!

I have 3 $10 Amazon eGift Cards available.  I will pick my 3 favorite responses to this question:

What are you most or least looking forward to in March?  It can be travel related (expiring status or 5 year anniversary trip to Paris) or more general (sunshine and spring flowers).  Whatever is on your mind, I want to know!

The giveaway will end at 8pm PST on Monday, March 2, 2015.  I will then select 3 winners and send the Amazon eGift Cards out via email.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment below.  Have a great weekend everyone!

Congrats first for achieving all your goals!

I’m looking forward for a nicer weather (hopefully). It doesn’t snow a lot here in Texas but they just closed/canceled school 3 days this week! I’m saving up my vacation days for our Europe trip this fall, so I can’t afford to build any more snowmen or ice skate in a school day!

    1. Grant

As a SoCal kid, I’ve never experienced a snow day. School has been closed for a few days due to wildfires nearby, but I would take snow over fire any day!

  2. Elena

That’s awesome that you met your views goal, congrats!

Nothing too much in March except for my first “Pi” day wedding on March 14th.

  3. Joe

Congrats on the 100k+ page views, that’s awesome!

I’m most looking forward to Spring Break, near the end of March. :D

  4. Sydney

I am most looking forward to graduating with my Master’s degree! And then all the fun that comes along with that…moving, job hunting, etc :)

    1. Grant

Excellent, Amtrak is a great experience. You should check out my detailed post regarding the Coast Starlight Amtrak ride from Seattle to Los Angeles. Congrats on the anniversary!

I have quite a few credit cards coming up for their annual fees. I absolutely intend to call for retention bonuses, but I’m not looking forward to having to close my Ink Bold if they won’t waive the fee. I really enjoy the 5 points I earn on buying merchant gift cards.

  6. Griz

    Congratz on the views!

For March, I will be traveling outside the US for the first time in years to Costa Rica and El Salvador compliments of United miles. I am looking forward to some authentic pupusas and some adventures while on my trip

  7. Chantal

    Congrats on exceeding your goals!

In March I am excited to take engagement photos! I usually hate taking pictures of myself but I’m a little excited and I hope they capture the excitement I feel about marrying my fiance! Sorry for the gushing!

    1. Grant

Congrats on your engagement and upcoming marriage! My cousin is getting married in May, so I know how much work and planning it takes. I’m sure your engagement photos will look great!

  8. Jessica

Looking forward to our 14th wedding anniversary Tuesday and my birthday later on in the month. We had a fun weekend in Scottsdale and a break from our 5 kids planned for this weekend but it got postponed until April.

    1. Grant

Congrats on the wedding anniversary! I’m sure Scottsdale will be perfect in April. Are you going to watch MLB spring training games?

Loving TWG! This month (March) I’m finally going to qualify for my Southwest Companion Pass through the wonderful technique of having gotten two Chase Southwest credit cards with the 50k bonus each. Such a good deal! Anyway, as soon as I get the companion pass, I am going to book my tickets for me and my husband to Chicago to see the Grateful Dead play Soldier Field over July 4 weekend!

We’re heading back to Iceland at the end of the month, so that’s definitely worth looking forward to. Congratulations on your page view achievement. Here’s to more success.

We are tired with the weather in Philadelphia and looking for vacation in Orange County from 3/14 to 3/24. We will take 4 days cruise to Catalina and Mexico. The price is very good $260/person including taxes. The food alone is cost that much so just like getting free shows every night, free transportation and room. I wish they have decent credit card for cruise.

  12. Katrina

    Congrats, my friend!

As for the question, I would like to finally choose between Hong Kong and South Korea in addition to Paris. And finally use 120K US Airways miles for first class North Asia trip before it`s too late!

  13. Rich C

Both my wife and I will be getting our Southwest companion passes in March! So our family of 4 will be planning a bunch of trips!

  14. Spencer F

Looking most forward to flying to Maui using Avois as a last vacation before baby #2 arrives in May; even with points trips will only get more expensive (baby #1 loses lap infant status the following month)

  15. Shane

I live in the west, and the east has been getting all the snow. So, for March, I am looking forward to the snowfalls leaving the east and coming back to the west, which will make for a great month of snowmobiling and travelling to snowmobile!

Going to Las Vegas with my daughter for spring break. First time for both of us. She’s graduating so it’s our last mother/daughter spring break trip. :(

    1. Grant

Sounds like a great trip, I hope you both have a great Spring Break. Everyone deserves a Spring Break, not just college students :)

  17. Christine C

Achieving goals is an awesome feeling, congrats! March is my birthday month and I am looking forward to booking my birthday gift to myself; a purely pleasure trip to London, paid for by miles and points earned from business trips there. I am going to linger over tea at breakfast, jump off Tube stops on a whim to explore, and get lost in a few museums. I can’t wait :)

  18. Liz @ Yes/No Films

I am most looking forward to warmer weather! I live in Michigan and it’s been brutal here the last few weeks … we broke a lot of negative temps records! (not ones you want to break …)

  19. Dee

First, congratulations! My trip pales in comparison to others here but my niece is on Spring Break and we are taking the train up to NYC, seeing some shows and openings, and just having some quality time together. She’s been having a rough time at school (they had the shooting at the USC Columbia campus last month) and she really could use a break.

    1. Grant

That sounds like a great, relaxing trip to NYC. I didn’t hear about the shooting at the USC Columbia campus, but that sounds terrifying.

  20. Ed C

Excited about traveling to South America for the first time. Specifically going to coffee country aka Columbia via CM.

  21. seth

    Congrats on your continued success.

Thanks to blogs like this one, this March I look forward to sending my wife and her friends to Orlando for a weekend and flying my mother in law in from Germany…. All with miles and points. Thanks for all your help!

    1. Grant

There is nothing better than helping friends and family members travel using your miles and points. I hope you have a great time with your mother in law :)

    1. Grant

I really the Daily Getaways are twice as good as last year and have twice as many packages available to purchase.

  22. Bill

I love the tips and tricks. For March, I’m hoping to meet the required spends for AA Biz and PNC Cashbuilder, and be working on the spend threshold for the Amex SimplyCash.

  23. Marty

Congrats Grant!! That’s seriously awesome. My plans? I wish I could say “travel the world” or “get an upgrade to a Hilton”.. But, ya know what I want? Seriously? Just to put away these snow shovels. Yep. That’s it. Just no more snow and no more shoveling… of course, I am looking outside to see 6 inches of new snow falling.

I will continue the 1 cent Staples paper purchases either with the Chase Ink card or, preferably, Staples Rewards or Staples gift cards that I can turn into cash. I donate the paper to my synagogue. One day, I deposited 10 $3.00 checks to my checking account.

  25. David

Looking forward to traveling to Crete with my mother. I was there alone last year for the first time and had an amazing visit. Looking forward to experiencing the island with her, and also seeing Chania for the first time. Thanks!

  26. Daniel

I’m getting married and taking my soon-to-be-wife on Emirates First. It will be both of our first times trying the product and it will be my wife’s first every trip in First Class. We’re so excited!

  27. iahphx

I’m looking forward to eating crawfish in Louisiana (first trip in a couple years down there) and a last ski trip with the kids before spring. I’m using my under-utilized WN companion pass to get to MSY, and IHG point breaks for the ski trip. I feel very fortunate to be able to do this type of stuff for very little money.

    1. Grant

Nice combination of IHG PointsBreak hotels and SWA Companion Pass. Have fun in N’Orleans (or how ever you would spell it).

  28. lovemytechy

Grant you have one of the best blogs… in march I look forward to my new target redcard at last I had the courage to change my BB to RB.
