New AMEX Offers: $5 Off $25 Exxon Mobil, $15 Off $50 Petco, and 10,000 Membership Reward Points from Everyday Credit Card

Good morning everyone, I have a few new AMEX Offers to share.  The best offer is a $5 statement credit when you spend $25 or more at Exxon Mobil.  The terms of the offer state you must make the purchase “at the pump” so it might exclude all purchases made inside an Exxon Mobil store.  The other offers worth mentioning are: Petco, Laithwaite’s Wine, Robert Graham, Mori Luggage, Jonathan Adler, Bouqs Flower Company, Mervis Diamond Importers, and Market Broiler.  Check all your AMEX cards to see if you receive any other offers.

Here are the other 8 AMEX Offers:

In other news… during my recent 8 card App-O-Rama, I applied for the AMEX Everyday Credit Card on July 15 and I was approved a few days later after American Express called me to verify some information.  Shortly after receiving the new credit card, I made a purchase to meet the $1,000 minimum spend on July 24.  Last night on July 30, I logged into my AMEX account and I see a 10,000 point bonus to my AMEX Membership Rewards balance.  This seems very strange to me since my statement doesn’t close until August 19 and I haven’t paid off my AMEX Everyday Credit Card yet.  Either way, thank you American Express!

    Grant,

Amex almost ALWAYS posts the bonus a few days after you meet the threshold, regardless if you paid the bill or the bill closes. This is opposite of Chase/Citibank/Barclays.

That’s interesting to know because I believe that Chase is the EXACT opposite.

I actually pre-paid my card so that my threshold spend for a bonus had been met on my IHG card, and it appears that I still must wait for my closing date to occur for Chase’s systems to acknowledge that I had met the spend.

In the scheme of things this is but a blip, but I submit it for a data point for anyone thinking that they will get that big bonus earlier if they pre-pay with Chase — my experience was that it did not occur.

      HTH.

Thank you for sharing Horace. Chase is pretty good at giving you the sign up bonus on the statement in which the minimum spend was met.

No they dont. I got my Amex Everyday in late May and my points are yet to post despite 2 statements cutting since then. I met the threshold within 2 – 3 weeks of getting the card

You should follow up with AMEX to see what is going on. Have you had that credit card in the past? Are you 100% sure all the purchases counted toward your minimum spend requirement?

I did check in with AMEX. Never had the card before. Was told that they had to wait for 2 statements to cut and even after that another 7-10 business days to allow for all transactions to “post” before my bonuses show up. Which is frankly ridiculous

That is ridiculous especially when they do not enforce their own rules. Try calling back and speak to a supervisor.

Might be your experience but is the complete opposite for me. This year alone two bonuses took what felt like more than a full statement to post for Amex.

Conversely my Barclay Arrival+ card had the bonus post within days of a charge that put me over the spending threshold. The funny thing is the charge that put me over was an accidental (and later reversed) was for Amex gift cards. By the time the AGC charge cleared I already had enough spending to qualify for the bonus. I was surprised they posted my bonus so quickly and mid-statement.
