Good morning everyone, happy TGI Friday! I got an email from US Bank / Club Carlson about a credit line increase, which would also give me 250 bonus Club Carlson points. If you have a US Bank Club Carlson Visa Signature Credit Card, you should have received the offer. If not, you can click here and follow the steps below.
On the landing page, there are a few FAQs. I wanted to see if the credit line increase was going to be a hard pull, but there will be no hard pull done on your credit report. If you want to continue, click the Submit Your Request button.
Enter your last 4 digits of your SSN, the last 4 digits of your US Bank Club Carlson Visa Signature Credit Card (I tried all my other US Bank credit cards and none of the other cards worked), and your zip code.
I forgot to take a screenshot of the next page, but it basically summarize your credit line increase request and tells you that you will receive 250 bonus Club Carlson points for completing the credit line increase request. After I clicked submit, the screen says that my request has gone through and that I should be approved for a $4,500 credit line increase assuming the final credit underwriting is approved. That’s all you need to do to get 250 bonus Club Carlson points (worth about $2 in my book), but it will help your credit score in the long run.

Same email to me, i still am canceling my card, last time they gave me couple of free night certs and 25000 points but canceling next month. even if they offer 25000 points again, i am canceling cos it is a useless and junk program
The program is not as good anymore. I’m still a Club Carlson personal and business card holder.
About that “amazing” 250 points headline….
Preface, I’m sticking w/ cc for now …. accumulating points and such. somewhere above 150k, holding onto the buz version of the card, for europe & me travel…. someday.
Trying to figure out if I should laugh or wince though at the meager 250 points being doled out here for a serious matter of requesting a credit line increase…. Lez see now, buying a single $500 gift card at Simon with the CC card nets me 2,500 points at a cost of $4…. So at that metric, that wee 250 points is worth all of 40 cents to me.
Not impressed.
US Bank has had some pretty lame offers, but they occasionally have good offers ($15 Visa Checkout Oromo and 12 Gogo passes).
