Good evening everyone, I hope you had a great weekend.  2 days ago, Barclays Announces JetBlue Plus Credit Card Referral Offer, Earn up to 50K Points.  Barclays wasn’t done with the referral offers since they just sent out emails to cardholders of the Barclays AAdvantage Aviator Red Credit Card (referral link) announcing a new referral offer where you can earn 10,000 American Airlines Miles per referral, up to 50,000 miles per calendar year.  If you have this credit card, check your email for this offer (it may be targeted).  If you didn’t receive the email, you can still log into your Barclays online account and see if you are eligible for this referral offer.  If you want to share your AAdvantage Aviator Red Credit Card referral link, please post your referral link in the comments section for other readers to use.

Here are the terms and conditions of the referral program, from the bottom of the email:

Existing AAdvantage® Aviator® Red World Elite Mastercard cardmembers will receive 10,000 AAdvantage® bonus miles for up to 5 friends who apply for a AAdvantage® Aviator® Red World Elite Mastercard using the personalized referral link by July 01, 2024 (“Promotion End Date”) and are approved. A maximum of 50,000 AAdvantage® bonus miles can be earned through this offer per calendar year. To be eligible to receive AAdvantage® bonus miles, the cardmember’s account must be open, active, and in good standing until AAdvantage® bonus miles are awarded. Bonus AAdvantage ® bonus miles may take up to 6-8 weeks from July 01, 2024 to appear on your statement. Cardmembers understand and agree that any individuals referred must be a new AAdvantage® Aviator® Red World Elite Mastercard customer and must apply through the personalized link shared through social media or text message for you to receive the AAdvantage® bonus miles. Here is your AAdvantage Aviator Red Credit Card referral link.  Any referrals you earn by July 1 will post to your American Airlines account 6-8 weeks after July 1.  The terms and conditions above state that you may receive a 1099-MISC tax form from Barclays, so keep that in mind.

Here is the landing page for the Barclays AAdvantage Aviator Red Credit Card (referral link).  I believe this is the same sign up bonus offer that is currently available.  You can get 60,000 American Airlines Miles after your first purchase plus an extra 10,000 American Airlines Miles after you add an authorized user and they make their first purchase, all within 90 days.  Sign up bonuses don’t get much easier than that!

Once you’ve had the AAdvantage Aviator Red for a few months, you may also be targeted for an upgrade offer to the AAdvantage Aviator Silver.  If you are eligible for the upgrade offer, you will see it listed under the Offers tab.

I don’t fly American Airlines enough to justify upgrading to the AAdvantage Aviator Silver, but here are the perks of the credit card, along with the $199 annual fee.
