Good afternoon everyone, I haven’t decided if this is a good deal or not, but I thought I would share it with you anyway. If you have a US Bank Club Carlson Credit Card, you might have received this offer along with your recent credit card statement. US Bank and LifeLock are teaming up to offer Club Carlson points for subscribing to a LifeLock protection plan.
On the enrollment page, LifeLock has three protection plans available, ranging from $9.99 to $29.99 per month. By using the promo code CARLSONCARD, you will instantly get a 10% discount on all LifeLock monthly subscriptions.
After entering the promo code, the new prices range from $8.99 to $26.99 per month.
The terms of the offer are important. You get a free 30 day trial to LifeLock, but you must be a LifeLock member for at least 31 days to complete the offer (and receive your Club Carlson points). You can cancel your LifeLock subscription anytime (maybe they will pro-rate the monthly fee if you call shortly after the month begins).
So is this offer worth paying $8.99 or less for? Assuming you have the US Bank Club Carlson Credit Card, you earn 5x on every dollar spent. You would have to spend $1,500 to get the 7,500 bonus Club Carlson Points. To spend $1,500, you could load $1,500 to your Target Redbird in one trip. If that is not an option, you could buy 3 $500 gift cards for $3.95 each or $4.95 each, depending where you shop. The cheapest option would cost you $11.85 which is more expensive than this offer. I have too many Club Carlson points and plan on racking up a few thousand more per month at Target, so I will sit this offer out.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment below. Have a great day everyone!
Is this the same company that had the CEO that published his SS number with company ads? Is this the same guy that had his identity stolen 13 times? Product must work like a charm. Just saying.

Haha no comment on the actual service :)
What are the $500 vgcs with only $2.95 in fees? Where are they available?
Simon Malls have VGCs for $2.95.
I think the Simon Mall GCs got raised to $3.95 across the board.
Thanks for the update. I have never bought a VGC from Simon Mall, so I am not that up to date on the activation fees. Bummer the price went up by a buck :(
Yes, I went to the old Block in Orange (called Outlets in Orange or something now) and they sold me them for $3.95 so the cost needs to be adjusted in your post.
The blog post has been updated to reflect the $3.95 calculations :)
I just moved back here from HI so I’m not used to having so many ways to MS. There are so few over there.
Welcome to the fun/ever-changing world of MS in the states!
