Good evening everyone, this is just a reminder that my next meetup will be this Saturday afternoon (August 15, 2015) at Super Duper Burgers on Market Street (located between Montgomery and Powell Street BART stations).

If you have never been to one of my meetups before (sometimes referred to as a meat-up since they always involve hamburgers), I always wear my Travel with Grant shirt and wait outside the restaurant for 15-20 minutes until a small group of travel hackers show up. This is very informal so just show up with nothing but an open mind, a hungry belly, and a thirst for travel.
There is no need to RSVP. If you can make it to the meetup, that is great. If not, I am sure next time will be just as much fun. If you have any questions, please leave a comment below. Have a great Friday everyone!
P.S. The official SF Travel Hackers Meetup group is meeting next Tuesday night (August 18 @ 7-9PM) at Switchfly HQ. The topic will be MS and there will be a panel of experts (and myself) there to answer some MS questions. Should be a great evening.
Hey Grant, I’m traveling to SF in October (25-29), any chance you can setup a meat-up around that time? I’m there for a work conference at JavaOne and I think it would be cool. I’m from Miami and I’ve never heard of any of these.

Hi Juan, let me consult my travel spreadsheet (yes I need to spreadsheet to keep track of my trips). I will be in town those days. So you land on Sunday, Oct 25 and leave Thursday, Oct 29? Not the greatest days for a meetup midweek…
Sorry, actually I land Oct. 24 at night and leave Oct. 29 around 11pm. I’ll keep an eye on my email for Oct. meat-up posts lol…Thanks a lot Grant.
I probably won’t do a meetup during the week, but maybe we can meetup for a beer one night and talk. Maybe it can be very informal. Where are you staying in SF?
I’m staying at the King George Hotel, it’s a partner of the conference and what my company approved…the major chains were up over $400 a night and they wouldn’t approve. Let me know.

I apologize.. After 45min and stotp an go traffic on 101, I just turned around and came home. It would have taken me another 45min to get there… 101 was bad.. maybe next time.

Sorry to hear about the traffic. I’m going to do another meetup in Sacramento and down in Fremont in the next couple of weeks. Maybe one of those meetup times will work better. Have a great weekend.
