Alaska Airlines Changes No-Show Refund Policy

Just the other day, I received this email from Alaska Airlines and something caught my attention. It was the usual Check In For Your Flight email, but up at the top, even before my flight and confirmation information, was this notice about their updated no-show refund policy. They’ve made changes based on when you bought or last changed your ticket.

Part 6: Interview with a Professional Uber/Lyft Driver – Why Uber Now Supports Multiple Stops in the App

Here at TWG, we have our Uber insider, Harry Campbell. Whenever there’s something about Uber we want to know or understand better, he’s the man! Recently, Uber started allowing multiple stops, so I thought I’d reach out to Harry and get his take on this. I asked him a few questions:

  • Why did it take Uber this long to have this feature?
  • Will it benefit the drivers?
  • What’s your general take on this addition and Uber these days?

Do you use the Hopper App? New Feature Just Added!

Do you know about Hopper? It is an app available for both iPhones and Android phones, and it does a great job of finding low-priced fares and also of predicting if airfares will increase or decrease between when you researched fares and when you plan to travel. It’s not a website, though. It’s only an app.

Is the American Express Be Vancouver Hotel Sale the Best Way to See Vancouver this Winter?

So here I am sitting at my desk on the 30th floor of the Hyatt Regency Vancouver and I’m reading about the American Express Be Vancouver sale.  This hotel sale happens in Vancouver this time of year and runs through December 31, 2017. A few travel bloggers have already mentioned the sale and sure enough, it can be a great deal. I love Vancouver and spend quite a lot of time here, so no arguments from me about whether or not it’s a great destination. But I am advising you to check your other options first. Especially if you have the Citi Prestige Credit Card that comes with the 4th night free benefit and you’re planning a longer stay.
