Good afternoon everyone, I hope your weekend is going well and that the weather is not too bad wherever you are. I just wanted to thank all the readers for making February my best month ever in terms of total page views. My goal for February was to break the 100,000 total page view mark, but I completely blew past that mark, finishing at 121,103 total page views! My goal for March is to go for 150,000 total page views.
I also wanted to mention that I had my best month ever in terms of Amazon sales. I really appreciate everyone who supports this blog by clicking on the Amazon link on my sidebar before making their next purchase on Amazon. I also have an Ebay link, so if you ever bid or purchase an item on Ebay with Buy It Now, please consider clicking on the Ebay logo on my sidebar first. Thank you!
Last but not least, thank you to everyone who applied for a credit card using my credit card affiliate links. It is a great feeling when I log into my affiliate account and see a few approved credit card offers. If you ever need help figuring out which credit cards to apply for, please complete my credit card questionnaire form and I will give you a personalized recommendation based on your existing credit cards and travel goals.
Now it is time for the giveaway!
I have 3 $10 Amazon eGift Cards available. I will pick my 3 favorite responses to this question:
What are you most or least looking forward to in March? It can be travel related (expiring status or 5 year anniversary trip to Paris) or more general (sunshine and spring flowers). Whatever is on your mind, I want to know!
The giveaway will end at 8pm PST on Monday, March 2, 2015. I will then select 3 winners and send the Amazon eGift Cards out via email.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment below. Have a great weekend everyone!

Caving in carlsbad cavern
Sounds awesome, does that involve repelling down rope and spelunking?
I am most looking forward to my birthday and I am least looking forward to my birthday lol! Looking forward to Spring love the flowers and baby animals it is the very best time of the whole year.
Happy birthday, Heather! Spring can’t come fast enough!
This March will be the month where I’ll try to MS enough miles for a trip to Taiwan in June for a family of 4. Our UR and UA miles have been so depleted that currently have a combined 50k UR and 50k UA miles only. Both the wife and I got the United card with 50k bonus recently so, the additional 100k should be fairly easy… Any ideas what the best (lowest cost) way to MS and/or get bonuses for UA/UR miles? I already have Ink and CSP… and recently closed a UA personal card.
You can always go for a Chase United Club or Business version of the card if you need more United Airlines miles.
I have the business card already and club doesn’t have any bonus miles, does it? Can we still churn Chase cards like we used to? Or is there a 12-24months waiting period? Any other cards that can give me united miles?
With Chase, you have to wait 2+ years between the dates when you get the sign up bonus. It doesn’t matter when you closed the card, as long as the card is closed when you apply. United Airlines miles are hard to get, not many good choices other than Chase UR Points.
Is it really true? I closed Chase Sapphire and Marriott last March but I got the bonus almost 2 years so I can apply to get bonus?
You need to figure out the exact month you got the sign up bonus then wait at least 2 years from that month to apply for the credit card again. That is what I did with my Chase United Airlines MileagePlus Credit Card.
hmm… feels like you have a potential topic to write about… which card is churnable and what is each card’s terms and condition. :)
Great idea, but Doctor of Credit has a great post about which credit cards are churnable: http://www.doctorofcredit.com/list-of-churnable-credit-cards/
New York City trip – check out the new shows (oh, and work a little bit)
Sounds fun, i haven’t been to NYC since 1998, I really need to go back. Where are you staying in NYC? Which shows are you planning on seeing?
I am most looking forward to planning my next app-o-rama in March and MS-ing towards my travel goal to South Asia (Hongkong and Singapore) this November!
Sounds like a fun trip, let me know if you need any help with credit card recommendations. Have a good night!

My upcoming trip to LA
Sounds great, got any plans for LA?
I’m looking forward to have the house ready for when the baby comes!
Congrats on the upcoming baby!
Looking forward to visiting some family in Florida this month! Last few years we have had to go during the summer and it has been miserable hot! So we are finally heading down to enjoy the sights when the weather is much more pleasant!!
Florida is tricky to visit, timing is everything. Have a great time with your family!
The thing I am looking forward to most is our ten year wedding anniversary. We had a Renaissance/fantasy themed wedding, so to celebrate we are getting a hotel room a couple towns over and going to the Ren Fair. for the weekend. I am so excited I can barely handle it.
Haha, happy ten year anniversary, I hope you have a fairy tale anniversary!
I am looking forward to some hiking and cycling in Taiwan!
You sound just like my brother, have a great time in Taiwan!
I’m looking forward to viewing your page 50,000 times so you can exceed your goal of total page views!
Thanks Chris, I’ll see you in San Diego this weekend :)
I am looking forward to warmer weather, but am not excited about the allergies that go with spring.
Dang allergies always ruining spring. I wish you good luck!
I’m most looking forward to planning my first trip to SIN! :) I will also travel to Phoenix and Flagstaff, and explore the Sedona and Grand Canyon areas…! I hear they are beautiful. Thanks for the giveaway!
When you are in Flagstaff, definitely check out some of the local attractions. Check out this post for more info: http://travelwithgrant.boardingarea.com/2014/02/15/whats-on-my-mind-grand-canyon-national-park-flagstaff-extreme-obstacle-course-bearizona-wildlife-park-and-bedrock-city/
Have a great trip!
Thank you, very kind of you! I’ll definitely check out your post. Have a nice evening!
Thank you Luke, let me know if you have any questions. Have a great trip!
we are looking forward to go to San Antonia
I’ve never been to San Antonio, but I have always wanted to go. Have a great trip!
My most anticipated items/events that I am looking forward to in march is being able to rent a new place with my family! And also the new March release of the new Maria V Snyder book that correlates with the poison study series! I am an avid reader, and am always looking forward to pre ordering and receiving books that I’ve been dying to read!
I hope the new book arrives quickly and that you like/love the new book :)
Looking forward to my trip to PHX and planning a last-minute 1st anniversary trip at the end of March!
Sounds like a fun trip, have a great time in Phoenix!
I’m most looking forward to spending my daughter’s birthday with her! :)
Happy birthday to your daughter. Do you have any exciting plans for her birthday?
I’m looking forward to going home to the Philippines (on that crazy cheap Etihad mistake fare), spending a few days on a beach island, stopping over in New York for a few days – and trying to do it all for cheap! (using Arrival+ credits, of course)
i’m looking forward to all this snow melting, and I’m 6 weeks away from my honey moon to Barcelona!!
I walk most places, and it has been very cold!! I’m looking forward to shedding a few heavy layers of woolies and kicking up my heels like lambs in spring!!
That sounds very nice, hopefully the weather begins to warm up for you and you can enjoy your walks without several heavy layers :)
I was looking forward to MSing the spend for my brand new Club Carlson Premier card. After 6 (count them, 6!!) attempts at purchasing a single gift card in 6 different places and having my card rejected, and speaking three times to the fraud department, I’m now looking forward to shutting down the card… even if it means losing out on the points. The best the fraud department could do for me is ask me to wait 60 days, after which they would be able to “push any transaction amount through” (up to my credit limit)… US Bank is a joke. Their fraud settings are SO strict, that I basically can’t make large spending in order to meet the required spend amount to get the bonus points. I’m fuming…. anyone else have this happen to them? It’s my very first card with US Bank, so I get that they don’t have a history on me, but they did grant me a VERY generous credit line… anyhow… I’m looking forward to shutting this one down, and signing up for the Chase Hyatt card. :)
I share your frustration. I am surprised every single time my US Bank FlexPerks or Club Carlson Credit Card purchase goes through. It is a pain to get a hold of US Bank, there are always long wait times, including speaking to their fraud department. I’m sorry you are having such a hard time using your Club Carlson Credit Card.
Hi Laura,
Yes indeed they are very strict. what they did to me is sending me the new one this is the second one. It sucks since I have to change the credit card number on all the payees.
Maxing out the spend requirements on my Prestige card so I can get my sign-up AND retention bonuses!
Haha, that a boy!
I am going San Francisco in 3rd week of March to enjoy spring break with bunch of friends friends from my work , I am going to use choice hotels discount to stay at comfort inn in san Jose and Monterrey bay. For Friday night i am going to use app Hotel tonight to get decent hotel in downtown.
I still need to try out HotelTonight. Have a great trip to Northern California and enjoy your time in Monterrey Bay :)

Too much to look forward to this month – fixing up my Aunt’s yard for her 80th birthday this coming weekend – then celebrating both 35 years of marriage and my 56th birthday on the Jewel of the Seas later in the month out of San Juan and eating in the last SeaView Cafe on board any Royal Caribbean ship. In between these celebrations we’ll visit our son in law at a car show on Amelia Island for his birthday weekend. There’s a lot of celebrating going on this month. And it will all include 11 nights of stays over 4 visits at 4 different Marriott brand hotels. What a fun way to retain platinum elite status. Did I say FUN? I meant fabulous!
Wow, sounds like you have a very busy month of travel. Congrats on the birthday and anniversary. Hopefully Marriott gives you some nice rooms during your stay :)
I have a trip to Florida planned and as luck has it, I can stay at Hilton and Westin and take advantage of their bonus offer. Nice when it comes together like that
That sounds fun, glad your travel plans overlap a few hotel promotions.
Looking forward to the WCC basketball tourney in Vegas… Booked 4* hotel on hotwire for 2 nights for $20.03 TOTAL. Basically just paid the taxes. Will probably transfer Chase UR to Hyatt for one more night for 8K points.
I’m glad you were able to take advantages of the Hotwire promo. Have a great time at the WCC basketball tournament!
I am most looking forward to the time change next week. I love the extra hour of daylight in the evenings!
(Hindsight may change this to something I should not have looked forward to, if it throws off my 3-year old’s sleep schedule – I’m still new to this parenting stuff!)
We all need that extra hour of sleep. I’m sure you soon will be able to adjust after a few days.
I’m looking forward to March Madness.
Excellent, which team are you rooting for?
Looking forward to the premium (members only) Travel With Grant posts!
Haha, I hope that happens in March, but it is up to the tech team at House of Miles to make it a reality. They have their hands full with 80+ bloggers :/
looking forward to some sunshine in NYC!
You mean you don’t like the snow and cold weather anymore? I hope sunshine comes to NYC soon.
