Good morning everyone. Yesterday, I flew from Dublin to San Francisco (DUB-SFO) on Aer Lingus in economy (gasp!) and I am getting back to my usual postings. I am excited to announce a few new Bay Area meetup events for the near future.
For President’s Day Weekend (and Valentine’s Day), I will be taking the California Zephyr Amtrak from Denver to Emeryville (Oakland/SF) with a few travel hacker friends from Denver/Boulder (creators of the Front Range Travel Hackers Meetup Group). They wanted to do a little meetup on President’s Day (February 15), so if anyone is in SF and wants to talk miles and points, come join us. We are going to Super Duper Burgers on Market Street (located between Montgomery and Powell Street BART stations).

The following day, the official San Francisco Travel Hacker meetup group is holding their February meeting about airport lounges and how to get access to those lounge. Please RSVP to the event if you want to attend.

- When: Tuesday, February 16 @ 6-8pm
By popular demand, I am taking my talents and meetup down the Peninsula. I didn’t know where in the Peninsula to hold the meetup, but I wanted to find a good restaurant (preferably a burger restaurant) near a CalTrain station. After a quick search, I found an In-N-Out in Mountain View that was near Grant Road and Grant Park Plaza. If that is not a sign from above, I don’t know what is. There is another In-N-Out in Mountain View, don’t go to that one by mistake.

Another transit option is to take the free Mountain View Community Shuttle which leaves the Mountain View Transit Center (i.e. Caltran/VTA Shuttle Bus stops) on the hour during weekends (there’s a 12:03p on Saturday’s and 13 minutes later you’ll be at Grant & El Camino Real, one block from I-N-O. Take the Red route to In-N-Out, take the Gray route back to the train station). Extra bonus, you’ll ride an electric bus.
