Last Day to Register for FTU Virtual Seminar on Saturday, January 22 ($25) or Free with Online Annual Membership

Good afternoon everyone, happy Friday!  If you have no plans tomorrow (Saturday, January 22), I highly recommend attending the FTU Virtual Seminar (tickets available for $25) or free if you have the FTU Online Annual Membership.  The seminar starts on Saturday, January 22 at 8am PT / 11am ET.  I have attended all of the FTU Virtual Seminars over the last year and they are always well done, educational, and entertaining – and I am sure this seminar will be no exception!  Here is the schedule and lineup of speakers:

If you register for the seminar on Saturday, but are unable to watch the live stream, you can access the recording of the seminar and watch later on.  This is also a great way to re-watch your favorite presentations and catch any details that you originally missed.

I’ve written about the FTU Online Annual Membership a few times, but it is a great deal at only $69 (regular price is $129).

With your FTU Online Annual Membership, you get access to a ton of free and discounted content.  You get complimentary access to the FTU Virtual Seminar on January 22 and all future FTU Virtual Seminars.  You also get a $49 discount code for the next in-person FTU event (that $49 discount will cover most of the cost of the annual membership).

After you sign up for the FTU Online Annual Membership, make sure to register for the FTU Virtual Seminar (you are not automatically registered for the event).  Just go to the January 22 FTU Virtual Seminar page and you should see the price drop from $25.00 to $0.00.  Just add the item to your cart and check out.  You will then be registered for the FTU Virtual Seminar and you will receive all the event emails, updates, and final schedule.

After you check out, you will receive a confirmation email.  You will receive the link to join to FTU Virtual Seminar on Saturday morning.

FTU actually has some pretty good content but is it just me or is their platform like WAY WAY outdated? The videos once you are a member are archaic and won’t let you fast forward or anything. I recently joined and was surprised just how bad the platform is. It seems like they would have a better platform. That’s my only complaint.

I assume you won’t learn too much new once you go to one of these events? I went in Seattle and I met you Grant. You’re a good dude.

I just booked the Chicago Advanced series as people told me that’s where you actually learn new stuff. I hope that’s right. You going to the Advanced FTU Seminar Grant?

Hey Mike, thanks for the comment about the recorded videos. I actually haven’t looked at those in a long time, so I don’t remember the quality of the videos or of the player. I will pass your feedback onto the FTU team to see if they can improve the video player.

The virtual seminars have a lot of variety in terms of speakers, so you may learn a thing or two. Nothing compares to the actual in person events.

I haven’t committed to going to any in person FTU events this year, but I have them marked on my calendar if I can make them. I’m sure they will be a lot of fun to see people in person and talk about travel.

Hi Mike, I shared your feedback with the FTU team and this is what they said:

“Thanks for sharing the comment. We occasionally hear this and recommend that folks use Google Chrome on a desktop as the video player fast forward options are available then. If they still have trouble, they are welcome to reach out to us to troubleshoot as this is a function that we offer.”

Does that help with the playback issued?
