PSA: Keep Checking IHG Award Prices for Price Drops, Then Rebook or use Free Night Certificates

Good morning everyone, I hope your weekend is going well.  I have an upcoming trip to New York City and have been planning my hotel stays for a few days.  I really like the Kimpton brand that is part of IHG Rewards and there is a Kimpton Muse Hotel in New York City that is close to Broadway and Times Square.  I have 3 IHG Free Night Certificates from my Chase IHG Rewards Premier Credit Card and my old Chase IHG Rewards Plus Credit Card (no longer available) that are good for award redemptions up to 40,000 IHG Points.  When I searched for award nights in November through January, I noticed point prices ranged from 31,000 IHG Points per night up to 73,000 IHG Points per night.  I looked at the same few days over a week period and noticed that the point prices would change from day to day, based on the cash price of the hotel on that specific night.  In this post, I will share the point prices and the cash prices I observed over the next 3 months and share my thoughts and findings.  I will also show you how to use your IHG Free Night Certificates and use the fourth night free benefit.

6 Buy Miles / Points Promos Ending Soon: Hawaiian (100%), United (100%), Alaska (60%), Etihad (60%), American (35%) & Hyatt (30%)

Good afternoon everyone, happy Friday!  I was working on my Buy Miles & Points Page and found 6 offers that end this month.  Always check the math to make sure that buying miles & points makes sense for you.  Do not buy miles & points speculatively unless you have a use in mind.  With that said, here are 6 offers that end soon.  Up first, Hawaiian Airlines is offering up to a 100% bonus, depending on the number of Hawaiian Airlines Miles you purchase.   This offer expires on October 24.

4 Chase Offer Flash Deals: 20% Cash Back at McDonald’s, Walgreens, Exxon, and Bed Bath & Beyond

Good morning everyone, happy Friday!  I just checked my Chase app and saw 4 new Chase Offers.  These are 2 day long Flash Deals that offer 20% cash back at McDonald’s, Walgreens, Exxon, and Bed Bath & Beyond.  I saw these same Chase Offers on most of my actively used Chase credit cards, so you should have all or some of these offers too.  The Chase Offers are around for 6 days, but as soon as you load / activate each Chase Offer, you only have 2 days to use the offer before it expires.  Scroll down to see more information about each Chase Offer.

US Bank Business Triple Cash Credit Card Application Process & Welcome Documents

Good afternoon everyone, I hope your week is going well.  2 days ago, I wrote Capital One Spark Miles Business Credit Card Application Process & Welcome Documents.  2 weeks ago, I also applied for the US Bank Business Triple Cash Credit Card.  My application was not instantly approved, so I called the US Bank business credit card application status / reconsideration department and asked if I could move some credit from my existing US Bank business credit cards in order to be approved for my new credit card.  The rep said that US Bank did not reallocate credit limits and when I called on October 7, the rep said the credit department was still working on applications from October 1, so 6 days behind.  6 days later, on October 13, my application was approved.

Here is what the front and back of the credit card looks like.  I am not a fan of the mixture of vertical and horizontal elements on the front of the card; and the back of the card looks to simple and a little boring.  It also looks like there is something missing from the bottom left corner on the back.  In this post, I will share details of the application process and the welcome documents I received from US Bank.

AMEX Chat Reps Cannot 100% Confirm Eligibility for New Credit Card Sign Up Bonus

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you had a great weekend.  A few weeks ago, I was planning on applying for the American Express Marriott Bonvoy Business Credit Card.  As of October 18, the current sign up bonus is 125,000 Marriott Bonvoy Points plus 2 Free Night Certificates (up to 50K Points / Night) after spending $5,000 in 3 months.  I have never had this specific credit card before, so now seemed like a great time to pick up this credit card with an increased sign up bonus.  Before I applied, I reached out to American Express via their online AMEX Chat feature to see if I was eligible.  I will explain more below, but long story short, the AMEX Chat rep said I was eligible, but the AMEX popup said I was not eligible.
