We all have shopping lists, right? I’m talking about that list titled “Buy sometime soon” list. Why is it then that for some items “sometime soon” can become years :) That’s where my story of me and my Buff begins. The first time I saw someone wearing a Buff I knew I had to get one. That, however, was so long ago I can’t even recall the year. Every time I saw anyone wearing a Buff I’d yell to them, “Great looking Buff.” And then I’d say to myself, “I gotta get a Buff, too!” Yes, I’m weird, I get that! Finally, on a bitter cold night, December 24th, 2015, in Vancouver, B.C. I bought a Buff. Well I didn’t exactly buy it, Alaska Airlines bought it for me, but that’s another story entirely. The result was the same, though. I finally joined the Buff club and I absolutely love my Buff!

Alaska Airlines Shopping Portal Just Got Better!
Deals, sales, extra miles…….all music to our ears, right? Many of the airlines give us the opportunity to earn miles when we shop through their portals. Alaska Airlines has the Alaska Mileage Plan and they just added a new feature which I think makes it much easier for us shoppers. Just in case you’re not familiar with shopping through an airline portal, here’s how it works so you can earn miles. In Alaska’s case, you would search, shop, and then earn miles. By visiting the Mileage Plan page and logging in, you’re directed to all the possible store options and deals. You’d click on your desired store and you’ll be taken to their website. Shop as you normally would. Once you make a qualifying purchase, Alaska will credit the miles earned to your account and send you an email to confirm, usually within five days.
$150 Discount Code from Alaska Airlines for a 5 Hour Flight Delay from Hawaii
Good morning everyone, happy Friday! 2 weekends ago, I was flying back home from Hawaii on Alaska Airlines. Everything was going well until we got to Maui airport. We were supposed to depart from Maui (OGG) at 4:15pm and land in Oakland (OAK) at 12:14am. Unfortunately, our flight departed 5 hours later than planned. Our inbound aircraft was coming from San Diego (SAN) and was supposed to depart San Diego at 7am. But due to mechanical issues, that flight departed 10 hours later at 5pm (I feel bad for people on that flight who were stuck at the airport for 10+ hours). The late inbound flight caused our flight to be delayed by 5 hours. I was tracking both Alaska Airlines flights and here were the last flight emails I received for each flight.
40% Bonus when you Buy Alaska Airlines Miles (Expires April 9)
We all have our favorite airlines and miles programs. Maybe I’m biased because I usually start my travels from the West Coast, but I’m a big fan of Alaska Airlines and can never have too many Alaska miles. If your Alaska miles account is short on miles, Alaska has a 40% offer on purchased miles expiring on April 9. This brings the cost to 2.1 cents per mile. Alaska miles have great value for me. Why? I like that Alaska isn’t a part of an airline alliance, but rather that they have a long list of airline partners that offer incredible business and first class products. My two favorite Alaska Airlines partners are Cathay Pacific and Japan Airlines. I recently flew Cathay Pacific Business Class to Asia. My first time flying Cathay Pacific was back in 2012, and even after all these years and having flown many different airlines, I’m still a huge Cathay Pacific fan. I have a Japan Airlines flight booked using Alaska miles, so I’m really looking forward to experiencing their current product.
Be Nice to Alaska Airlines Phone Rep; Get 1,000 Free Miles
Good morning everyone, happy Easter! I hope you are celebrating the holiday with friends, family members, and good food. Last week, I called Alaska Airlines for help with an award booking. The agent was relatively new to booking awards, but she was very nice and fun to talk to. After finishing the award booking, I thanked her for her help. Before we hung up, she wanted to thank me for being so polite and understanding with her while she booked the award ticket. She then said something along the lines of, “Everyday, each Alaska Airlines rep has the ability to give 1,000 free Alaska Airlines miles to one of our members who has been a pleasure to work with.” That was awesome, I told her I would gladly accept the 1,000 free Alaska Airlines miles. 2-3 days later, the miles were in my account.
