Good morning everyone. A few days ago, I was on the US Bank FlexPerks Rewards website and noticed that the layout was new and refreshed. I wanted to see if US Bank added any new features to this website, but as far as I can tell, the facelift looks nice, but there are no new features added. One new change is immediately apparent on the homepage. You can sign in with your last name, first initial, zipcode, and last 4 digits your US Bank FlexPerks Rewards Credit Card.
Good afternoon everyone, I hope your Presidents’ Day Weekend is off to a great start. I just spent the last hour or so reading about horror stories where people were scammed on Craigslist when they paid with Zelle (Tech Crunch and Reddit). Since I wrote a post on how to send money to friends (or other bank accounts) with Zelle, I felt that it was my duty to inform my readers about this scam.
After reading the Tech Crunch and Reddit posts, here is how the scam works. The buyer sees tickets on Craigslist and reaches out to the seller. The seller says they can transfer the tickets to the buyer immediately after payment is received and recommends using Zelle, since that is their preferred way to be paid. Luckily, the buyer has used Zelle in the past and *thinks* that since the service is offered by their bank and other big banks, that all transactions are protected. After the buyer pays the seller via Zelle, the seller disappears and stops responding to calls, texts, and emails. The buyer complains to their bank, but since Zelle is set up to pay friends and family members, there is no purchase protection offered through Zelle, therefore, their bank cannot help them recover their money.

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a great weekend. I have a short post today on the Hilton Free Weekend Night Certificate. I used to have 2 Citi Hilton Honors Reserve Credit Cards and spent $10,000 on each credit card before the conversion to the American Express Hilton Ascend Credit Card. This morning, around 2am PT, I received 2 emails regarding my Free Weekend Night Certificates. These Free Weekend Night Certificates came earlier than I was expecting and did not mention anything about spending a combined $15,000 on the Citi Hilton Honors Reserve Credit Card and American Express Hilton Ascend Credit Card. Here is what the Free Weekend Night Certificates email looks like. You have to make a reservation before the expiration date listed in the email. I believe your reservation can be anytime after that though.
Good morning everyone, happy Friday. When I was doing research for my previous Hilton post (Hilton Ascend Credit Card: Unlink Citi Card; Set up AMEX Card; View AMEX Offers; Call for Retention Offers), I closed one of my American Express Hilton Ascend Credit Cards. A few days later, I logged back into American Express and saw a $95 statement credit on my account. That was surprising since I hadn’t used the credit card in several months before it was converted from Citi to American Express. I did some digging and found out that the $95 was a refund of my annual fee.
Good afternoon everyone. Today is the day Citi Hilton Honors Reserve Credit Cards are officially converted to American Express Hilton Honors Ascend Credit Cards. I logged into my Citi online account and noticed that my 2 Citi Hilton Honors Reserve Credit Cards are missing from my account. The only remnant of their existence is the last 4 digits of the credit card number and links to unlink the credit cards. I then went through the process of setting up both of my American Express Hilton Honors Ascend Credit Cards. I was able to add both of those credit cards to my American Express online account and there were several AMEX Offers available too. I also called American Express to inquire about upgrade options to the American Express Hilton Honors Aspire Credit Card and asked about retention offers.
