Roy’s Restaurants: $130 in Gift Cards for $75 (Stack AMEX Offer + GC Deal)

(Hat Tip to my Friend Kal for letting me know about this deal)

Good afternoon everyone, if you are a fan of Roy’s, I have a great gift card deal for you.  Roy’s has a few restaurants around Arizona, California, Florida, Maryland, and Texas (all locations).  My parent’s love this restaurant and I thought it would make for a great Father’s Day gift.  If you purchase $100 or more of Roy’s gift cards between now and June 30, you can get a $30 promo card (details below).  That is a great deal, but the deal gets better when you stack this offer with an AMEX Offer for Roy’s: $25 off $100.  But finding that AMEX Offer is tricky, unless you use the Local Offers search that I covered this morning.

Use AMEX Offers to Search Local Deals & Find Great Restaurants

Good morning everyone. During our Memorial Day Weekend stay at the Andaz San Diego, my girlfriend and I were having a hard time figuring out which restaurant to go to for dinner. We didn’t have a car, so I wanted to find something close by that we could walk to. I decided to check AMEX Offers to see if there were any restaurants nearby that were offering a deal through AMEX Offers.

I opened the AMEX app and went to my American Express Business Platinum Charge Card (the only American Express card I brought on the trip – mainly for SFO Centurion Lounge access and SAN Airspace Lounge access). I clicked on the Offers icon at the bottom of the screen and then clicked the Nearby Offers link.

Office Depot Boise Paper 2 Cases Rebate ($80 OD/OM Gift Card) Timeline

Last month, Doctor of Credit shared a deal from Office Depot / OfficeMax where you could buy $116 worth of paper for $60 (with coupon) and get an $80 OD/OM Gift Card as a rebate.  I immediately jumped at the offer to spend $60 and get an $80 OD/OM Gift Card, plus I could donate the paper to my girlfriend’s elementary school (win-win).

A few days later, Office Depot changed the terms of the rebate so that you had to buy the paper in-store, not online.  I was waiting and hoping for the best since I had already submitted my rebate before the rebate terms were changed.  I have good news to share.  I purchased 2 cases of paper online, submitted 1 rebate form, and received an $80 OD/OM Gift Card.  In this post, I will document the dates of the rebate.  I purchased the 2 cases of paper on April 10 around 4pm.

Happy Mother’s Day! Let’s Celebrate with an Amazon Gift Card Giveaway [10 Winners Announced]

Updated 6am PT on 5/15: 10 winners announced, please scroll down to see the winning comments.

Good morning everyone and happy Mother’s Day to all the mom’s out there – especially my mom!  I might be a bit biased, but I think know I have the best mom in the world!  My parents got me hooked on travel at a very young age and my love for travel has only grown larger as I have gotten older (and the ability to earn thousands of miles and points from credit card sign up bonuses has helped too).  There are so many family trips around Europe, to various tropical Caribbean Islands, and long road trips around California, picking a favorite family vacation would be impossible.  Every trip is special in one way or another.

To celebrate Mother’s Day and to give you all a chance to brag about your mother’s, I decided to set up an Amazon Gift Card Giveaway.  Read on to find the details of the giveaway…

Bank of America BankAmeriDeals: How Quickly does the Cash Back Statement Credit Post?

Good afternoon everyone, I hope your weekend is off to a great start.  A few weeks ago, Doctor of Credit wrote a post about an AT&T cash back deal through Bank of America.  The deal was simple, make 2 AT&T purchases of $15 or more between April 22 and July 20 and get a $50 cash back statement credit. $15 x 2 = $30 – $50 cash back = $20 money maker.  But I have AT&T, so I would have had to pay the bill anyway, so this was more like a $45 money make since I normally pay for AT&T with my Chase Ink Plus Business Credit Card.  Anyway, it was an easy decision and I made 2 payments to AT&T: $15.01 and $15.02.  Those purchases posted to my Bank of America credit card on April 24.  Fast forward to May 7 (~14 days later) and I got the $50 cash back statement credit.
