Good afternoon everyone.  A few weeks ago, a company called USB Memory Direct reached out to me to see if I would be interested in doing a USB drive giveaway.  I said yes, so now I have a bunch of custom Travel with Grant USB drives to give away.  USB Memory Direct specializes in custom printed USB drives and they recommended the tube style that is water-resistant and super durable.  Each USB drive has 8GB of storage and is perfect for backing up photos, videos, or other files.  Continue reading for instructions on how to enter the giveaway…

Alaska Airlines 2 for 1 Flight Vouchers @ San Francisco Giants Game on September 15

Good morning everyone, happy first day of September and the start to a nice, relaxing Labor Day Weekend.  2 weeks from now, the San Francisco Giants have their annual Alaska Airlines 2 for 1 flight voucher game (previously it was a Virgin America 2 for 1 flight voucher game) on September 15.  The flight vouchers have a unique code and will be given out to the first 40,000 fans.  Based on attendance at a recent game, there should be plenty of flight vouchers to go around.  I wrote about this promo last year, but it seems like the terms of the offer have gotten much more restrictive this year.  Even if you cannot make the game or do not live near San Francisco, I am 100% sure people will sell the offer codes on eBay starting around 6pm PT on September 15.

Sinemia Summer Sale: $9.99 for 3 Movies / Month with No MoviePass BS or Blackouts

Good afternoon everyone.  Before you head out on your Labor Day Weekend adventure, let me tell you about Sinemia.  Sinemia (I’m not sure how to pronounce the service, but I call it “cinna-mia”) is a MoviePass competitor with several different plans and pricing tiers.  I’ve been a MoviePass customer since last November and I have seen the service get worse and worse every month.  I’ve just about had it with MoviePass’s BS and their movie blackouts.  Luckily, Sinemia is running a Summer Sale (my referral link) where you can get 3 movies per month for $9.99.  You can go to any theater, see any 2D movie, and even purchase tickets online or in advance, with no blackouts!

If you are a less frequent moviegoer, you can get a 1 or 2 movies per month plan, or if you are a fan of 3D and IMAX movies, you can get one of their Elite plans.  If you purchase a monthly plan (which is what I did), there is a 1 time fee of $19.99 for the Club Member Initiation to join Sinemia.  If you purchase a yearly plan, you do not pay the $19.99 fee.  Since I saw how fast and far MoviePass fell from grace, I decided to play it conservatively and go for the monthly pass (and pay the $19.99 fee).  If Sinemia works out well, I won’t mind paying the $19.99 fee.

The FERRY Best of Staten Island

I’m not much into cruises but I do have one that’s my all-time favorite, and it just might surprise you. Even better than it being my favorite, one thing about this cruise seems to be something most people don’t know……it’s FREE! And you’ll almost cruise close enough to be able to shake hands with a very famous lady! Okay, enough with the hints. I’m talking about the Staten Island Ferry Harbor Cruise.

The Staten Island Ferry – A Free New York Harbor Cruise

You’d think there wouldn’t be much to know about the Staten Island Ferry Harbor Cruise except you get on, you cruise and see incredible New York Harbor sites, you get off. But as I recently found out, just knowing about the cruise and that it’s free is only the beginning of what you need to know to make this outing a great memorable adventure.

Visit San Francisco’s Newest Attraction: Salesforce Park

Good morning everyone.  On Monday, I finally got to experience the brand new Salesforce Park, the newest attraction in San Francisco.  The bottom levels are the new Salesforce Transit Center and the top level is the new Salesforce Park.  The park is surrounded by Salesforce buildings and is a short walk from Embarcadero Bart, Montgomery Bart, and the SF Ferry Building.  If you are planning to visit San Francisco, I highly recommend visiting the new Salesforce Park.  It is free to visit and is open everyday from 6am to 9pm.  I walked the entire park path in 13 minutes and that included taking in the sights and taking a few photos.  There are lots of tables, chairs, green spaces, and activities throughout the day.
