How Quickly Does Cash Back Post for Chase Offers?

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a great weekend.  I meant to publish this post a few weeks ago, but better late than never.  Chase has started to roll out more and more Chase Offers (similar to AMEX Offers) on several Chase credit cards.  In this post, I will show you how long it took for a Lowe’s Chase Offer to post to my account.  The Lowe’s Chase Offer provided 10% cash back on the first $120 spent, for a maximum of $12 cash back.  I added the Lowe’s Chase Offer to my Chase Sapphire Reserve Credit Card on December 9, 2018.  That same day, I went to Lowe’s and spent $96.60 (combination of a Christmas tree, stand, and some gift cards).  After the Lowe’s purchase posted to my credit card, the Lowe’s Chase Offer showed up under my Redeemed tab of Chase Offers.  The terms state that the statement credit should post within 7-14 business days, so let’s see how long it really took.

5 days later, on December 14, 2018, I received an email from Chase stating that I had earned a statement credit for completing the Lowe’s Chase Offer.

7 days later, on December 21, 2018, I noticed a $9.66 statement credit post to my account.  Under the Chase Offers section, it will show you the total amount of statement credits earned to date.  In my Chase Sapphire Reserve Credit Card account, the transaction details shows $9.66 of “Money in” from the “Offer:Lowe’s Home Impro”.

From start to finish (December 9 to December 21), there were ~12 calendar days and ~10 business days.  Chase Offers do post a little slower than AMEX Offers, but I don’t mind the wait.  Have you noticed that your statement credits from Chase Offers takes about 12 calendar days from start to finish?  If you have any questions, please leave a comment below.  Have a great day everyone!

I’ve had something odd with Chase offers happen. I signed up for an offer that expired 12/23. I intended to buy a gift card but when I checked the app again, the expiration date had changed to mid-January, so I wasn’t in a rush to go purchase. Just to be sure, I even logged in again the next day to double check. Checked again today and the deal now shows as expired on the original date.

I’m finding that the credits are not showing as pending for almost 2 weeks on some of mine. Then another week or so for the actual credit.

That is very strange, maybe Chase made some changes to the Chase Offer after you enrolled in the offer. Thank you for sharing your experience.

I’ve noticed my bonuses show up within a day or two of the purchase actually posting to my account on my CFU. CSR bonuses do seem to take a bit longer, but certainly not as long as yours.
Maybe the type of card makes the difference for some reason? I don’t understand why some Chase cards post quickly, and others take longer. A little off topic, but I have a $7300 purchase on my Chase Business Preferred that was made 3 weeks ago, my available credit reflected the purchase within 2 days, but the transaction STILL doesn’t show up on my account ???

Interesting theory that some Chase cards post the bonuses faster than others. I have a few other Chase cards that have Chase Offers, but I’ve only used my CSR with Chase Offers (and I have many more Chase Offers on my CSR than my other Chase cards).

Regarding your $7300 purchase on your Chase Business Preferred, that is very strange that the charge is missing for so long. Can you see it in the Chase mobile app?

It posts slow and quite a few times purchase don’t post correctly so the credit doesn’t show at all. But I’m not about to call for $6.
