Good morning everyone. Last week, I did my July App-O-Rama and was instantly approved for the Citi Premier Credit Card. This credit card offers 60,000 Thank You Points after spending $4,000 in 3 months. This is my second Citi Premier Credit Card, the other Citi Premier Credit Card was opened 4+ years ago and is still open. Based on Citi’s 24 month churning rules, I needed to wait 2+ years after getting the last sign up bonus and make sure not to open/close/convert my existing “family” of Citi Thank You Point earning credit cards. The new credit card arrived yesterday. In this post, I will show you the card art, the welcome documents and show you how to activate the credit card on the Citi Mobile App. Here is the front and back of the credit card:
A few days ago, I got this letter from Citi telling me that I was approved for the Citi Premier Credit Card and that I should be expecting my new credit card in the next 7-10 days (I was instantly approved, so I know the credit card is on its way). The letter also highlights the sign up bonus details and provides the cash advance PIN (which can be changed). On the back of the letter, are the upcoming Citi card benefit changes that will go into effect on September 22, 2019.
Here is the light blue envelope that arrived yesterday.
Here is the welcome letter that came with my credit card.
Here is information regarding interest rates and fees ($95 annual fee).
Here is my Experian credit score that Citi used to approve me for the new credit card.
Lasty, here are the credit card terms and disclosures.
A few days before my new credit card arrived, I noticed at the bottom of the Citi app that Citi wanted me to activate my new credit card. After my new credit card arrived, I clicked the button to activate the credit card. Then I clicked the Next button in the upper right corner.
I used the Card Capture feature to take a photo of my new credit card. I then filled in the card details and clicked the Next button.
Success! My new credit card was activated and linked to my existing Citi online account. The new credit card now shows up in my Citi Mobile App.

Did you end up converting your old City premiere to a city reward card? I’m in the same boat I have an existing City premiere and I just received my new City premiere and I was wondering how the conversion went? also were there any issues combining your thank you points account?
I’m waiting to get the sign up bonus before converting the old Citi Premier CC. Combining accounts is easy, just call Citi and they can convert them.
Good idea. Ill do the same thanks
