Citibank Changes Its Annual Fee Rebate Policy

Seems like Citibank and their credit cards are on my mind lately. First it was making sure I had used my Citi Prestige airline credit benefit before this year ended. Then I mourned the upcoming changes to my Prestige card. Next up on my year-end credit card review and to-do list was looking at my credit cards and deciding which to keep and which to let go.

Don’t Overlook These Citi Prestige Card Updates: The Good, The Bad, And The Really Bad

Credit card benefit changes are inevitable. Ok, that’s stating the obvious. But benefit changes do seem to be coming at us fast and furiously these days. The Citi Prestige credit card is up for some changes starting in January. As often is the case when my my go-to credit card benefits change, I have mixed feelings about these changes. Change can be good, bad, or really bad, as proven by these Citi Prestige upcoming changes.

Could We Replicate the Netflix / “Friends” Revolt with the AMEX Business Platinum Changes?

Updated at 10:50am PT on 12/5: According to the New York Times, Netflix paid $100 million to keep “Friends” for 1 more year.  That is the power that “Friends” fans have over Netflix.


Good morning everyone.  I am not sure if you heard the 2 big stories that broke Monday morning: Netflix was planning on removing the TV show “Friends” from their service beginning January 1 and American Express announced BIG changes to the American Express Business Platinum Charge Card.  Not surprising, Netflix users freaked out and started complaining on Facebook and Twitter.  Here are a few complaints from this USA Today article.  After a few hours, Netflix reversed course and granted users’ wishes: “Friends” would be on Netflix through 2019.  That’s one win for the little guys!  But what about the second big story from Monday?

My Latest Obsession: Listening to BoardingArea Bloggers on NowBoarding Podcast

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you had a great Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and any other shopping holiday I missed (RIP Small Business Saturday).  Over the last few days, I have been binge watching listening to the new NowBoarding Podcast, hosted by Ed Pizza from Pizza in Motion.  The weekly series has 21 episodes as of today, November 27.  Each episode is roughly 30 minutes long where Ed interviews various bloggers from BoardingArea and TravelUpdate.  You can listen to the podcasts for free online or via iTunes.
