2 Centurion Lounge Meetups: SFO @ 12pm and LAS @ 6pm (Saturday, November 7)

Good morning everyone.  A few months ago, I was talking to a few people at one of my Bay Area meetups and the idea of having a meetup at a Centurion Lounge came up.  Since almost everyone at the meetup had an AMEX Platinum Card, it sounded like a fun adventure.  I also spoke with Shawn @ Miles to Memories about having a meetup in Las Vegas (MGM penthouse anyone?).  A few days ago, I found cheap flights from SFO to LAS for weekend travel in November.  Since both SFO and LAS have Centurion Lounges, why not have 2 meetups in 2 Centurion Lounges on the same day?  Without further ado, here is the first meetup.

SFO Centurion Lounge Meetup:

  • Date: Saturday, November 7
  • Time: 12-3pm
  • Location: Centurion Lounge (Terminal 3, near Gate 74)

New AMEX Offers: $5 Off $5 Google Play, Vince Online, City Sports, and Brooks Brothers

Good morning everyone, it looks like American Express loaded a few more AMEX Offers into the system.  The new offers are: Google Play, Vince Online, City Sports, and Brooks Brothers.  The best offer is for Google Play: spend $5 and get a $5 statement credit.  This offer was loaded to all of my AMEX cards.

American Express Changes: 250 Membership Reward Points = 200 British Airways / Iberia Avios and Plenti Transfers

Good evening everyone, I was just looking through my recent American Express Platinum Charge Card statement when I saw major changes to the Membership Reward Program.  Effective October 1, the transfer rate to British Airways and Iberia will change from 1,000 Membership Reward Points = 1,000 British Airways / Iberia Avios to 250 Membership Reward Points = 200 British Airways / Iberia Avios.  This is terrible news since British Airways is arguably one of the best transfer partners for Membership Reward Points.

Good morning everyone, I wish I were coming to you with more exciting AMEX offers, but it looks like AMEX just loaded a bunch of new AMEX Offers, including: 1-800-PETMEDS, Allen Edmonds, Bliss World, From You Flowers, Groundlink, Mandarin Oriental, One Kings Lane, and Wine Country Gift Baskets.  None of these offers are particularly exciting or MS worthy.

Good morning everyone, I have a new round of AMEX Offers to share: Dollar General / Dollar General Market, Orchard Supply Hardware (OSH), Hof’s Hut, Gump’s, and The Pierre New York.  The only offer that excites me is the Dollar General offer: spend $25 and get a $5 statement credit.  This offer is only valid for in-store purchases, online orders are excluded.
