American Airlines Business Extra: Don’t Forget to Double Dip on your AA Flights

Do you know that American Airlines has another mileage earning program besides its Advantage Mileage Program? So, yes, you earn miles in both programs. I joined it years ago, but I’ll admit to not utilizing the program and its bonuses very well or very often. In my effort to not leave miles/points on the table, I’m paying more attention to programs like these, and so should you. The program is called Business Extra. It allows businesses and “businesses” to earn extra miles for their employees and “employees” flights. It’s American Airlines way of rewarding small businesses. These Business Extra miles are earned in a separate mileage program. You earn points based on dollars spent on eligible flights, so your stash won’t grow as fast as your Advantage Program miles will, but it still makes sense to double dip when you can. You can still credit the flights on American Airlines to any partner airline you’d like, but as long as your Business Extra number is on your ticket, you’ll earn Business Extra points too.

10,000 AMEX Membership Reward Points for Enrolling in Extended Payment Option

Some miles and points take a lot of time and effort to earn. So it’s great when earning miles and points take no time or effort at all! It’s rare, but opportunity does knock from time to time. Here’s one that came knocking recently, and it reminded me to make sure you’re aware of it as well. American Express cards come with an option to enroll in their Extended Payment Option.

This allows you to pay off purchases over time. Now, we all pay off our credit cards every month, right? So we don’t need to USE this option, but I’ve noticed over the years that from time to time, American Express offers Membership Reward points JUST for enrolling your card.

Every now and again, I’ve looked to see if my cards were targeted for these offers. Nope, no luck, until recently, that is. I got this offer on my American Express Business Platinum Charge Card, which I keep for the Centurioun Lounge benefits. I’ll take 10,000 American Express Membership Reward points earned this easily any day of the week. So I enrolled my card.

Earn up to $120 in Uber Credit with Citi Double Cash Credit Card

Updated 9am PT on 10/15: Promo details now show up in the Payment Rewards section.

Good morning everyone, happy Friday.  I just got this email from Citi, so it might be targeted, but if you have a Citi Double Cash Credit Card, you can earn up to $120 in Uber credit when you pay with that credit card for UberPool rides.  You need to add the promo code to your Uber account (which I will show you below) and then pay for your next UberPool ride with your Citi Double Cash Credit Card.  After that ride, you will earn $15 in Uber credit which you can apply to your next UberPool ride (or maybe to Uber or UberEats, I’m not sure).  You can do that up to 8 times to earn $120 in Uber credit.  Sounds pretty good to me, since most good Uber promos are just for first time customers.
