Purchase Hilton Honors Points – 100% Bonus (Expires June 7)

What’s the best way to earn hotel loyalty points? There are as many answers to that question as there are hotel chains! So when people ask me that question, here’s how I answer. The four most popular answers would likely be: stay at a hotel, spend on a credit card that’s affiliated with the hotel chain, get a credit card with an oversized bonus of hotel points when you meet the minimum spend, and if and when the need arises, buy hotel points on sale and use them to get super value from an award night stay.

Maybe because summertime is around the corner and the high travel season is upon us, it seems like right now Hilton Honors is upping their game both in credit card increased bonuses, and by putting their Hilton Honors points on sale. Continue reading

Which American Express Hilton Credit Card is Right for You?

Back in January, Hilton began teaming up with American Express to offer co-branded credit cards. This replaced Hilton’s card agreement with Citibank. The Citi Hilton cards converted to American Express cards. I’m sure by now we’ve all updated our information with any merchants we use for recurring automatic payments. PSA: American Express Hilton Honors Credit Card Now Has No Foreign Transaction Fees!

It’s obvious that we would rather have credit cards with NO foreign transaction fees, right? After all, we travel a lot and don’t want to spend more than we have to, especially when it comes to pesky fees. Over the last few years we’ve seen more and more banks and credit card issuers either change their cards with these fees to no fee cards, or from the start offer us cards with no foreign transaction fees. I got this reminder email recently and in case you’ve forgotten, the no annual fee American Express Hilton Honors Credit Card now has NO foreign transaction fees! Have you started using it more overseas since they dropped the fees?  If you want to apply for the American Express Hilton Honors Credit Card, please use my referral link.  Thank you!
