International Purchases Can Trigger Chase Offers (Ex: Starbucks in Europe)

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a great weekend. Last week, I wrote How Quickly Does Cash Back Post for Chase Offers? Then a few days ago, I added / linked a Starbucks Chase Offer to my Chase Sapphire Reserve Credit Card. I would earn 5% cash back at Starbucks, up to a maximum of $1.50 cash back ($30 x 5% = $1.50). Last week, I went to a Starbucks in Bucharest, Romania, and bought my mom a Starbucks mug (she has a collection of Starbucks mugs from around the world). Surprisingly, a few days after purchasing the Starbucks mug, I got an email from Chase stating that I had earned 91 cents cash back with the Starbucks Chase Offer.

$5 Starbucks Gift Card from ParkMobile & MasterCard

Updated 5:20pm PT on 12/9: I received the $5 Starbucks email from ParkMobile on December 7, which was 7-8 days after completing the promo requirements.

Updated 7pm PT on 12/4: I just received an email from ParkMobile stating that I completed the ParkMobile / MasterCard promo and that I will receive an email in 3 business days with a $5 Starbucks gift card.  Scroll down to see the email.

Good afternoon everyone.  ParkMobile is an app (iOS or Google) to pay for parking and it is very popular in the San Francisco Bay Area.  A few days ago, I received an email from ParkMobile with details of a promotion they are running with MasterCard.  If you add a new MasterCard credit card to your ParkMobile account, you will get a $5 Starbucks gift card (I’m not sure if it is a physical gift card or an eGC) after you pay for a parking session.  The details of the promo do not specify the minimum parking price to qualifying for the $5 Starbucks gift card.

Starbucks Opens A Cafe That Even A Coffee Snob Like Me Can’t Wait To Visit!

There’s actually a Starbucks I can’t wait to visit! As the Bean Around the World coffee girl I’m sure you’re surprised to hear me say that. Yes, today’s story is about Starbucks. And it’s a very positive one! Starbucks now has a cafe staffed by employees who are partially or fully deaf and can communicate in American Sign Language. It’s in Washington, D.C. near Gallaudet University, the only Liberal Arts college for the deaf in the U.S. The baristas are teaching hearing customers how to say the Starbucks menu offerings in American Sign Language. I’ve studied ASL and think this kind of diversity in the marketplace is great for everyone. Here’s the story and a cool video to watch.

Up to 30% Off Starbucks, 15% Off Chipotle, 10% Off Panera & More!

We all like to save money, and there are many portals and cash back apps that routinely offer 1%, and sometimes 5% or more depending on how you use them.  One place I spend way too much time at is the remote office, aka Starbucks. I can get a lot of work done there with the free WiFi and a nice leather chair. OK, I have that at home too but Starbucks is easier.

I don’t like paying for Starbucks though. There are many ways to save money here, I have bought discounted Starbucks gift cards, or loaded my Starbucks card with Bank of America promotions and saved money, used Chase Pay, etc. The problem is these are all typically one time offers or limited time deals.

My drink usually runs roughly $3, if I bring my own mug. Using the methods I listed above and joining the Starbucks Rewards program helps to offset the list price. Recently, I discovered another program that seems to be here to stay and saves me literally 33% per day, or $1 off each time I buy my drink. Continue reading

Starbucks Rewards Gold Members: Reload $10+ with Chase Pay & Get 250 Bonus Stars

Update: I spoke with a Chase representative today and you will not be able to sign up for Chase Pay if your online login/profile has any business credit cards attached to it. Verbiage from Chase Pay FAQ: At this time, Chase Pay doesn’t accept business credit cards, business debit cards or MasterCard® cards. I was lucky enough to have a separate personal login without business accounts attached, and it went through smoothly.

Good evening everybody, or morning if you are reading this tomorrow. I was going through my Starbucks app Inbox and found the following promotion for Chase Pay members (not to be confused with Chase QuickPay).

Receive 250 Bonus Stars when you load $10 or more in the Starbucks® app using Chase Pay. For all of us Starbucks Rewards Gold members, gold members have earned over 300 stars, that means two free drinks! You, of course, need to have the Starbucks App installed on your phone, at least one personal Chase credit or debit card, and have a Chase login for online access.

Follow the following directions for your particular device and you should be good to go (see specific terms below).
