(Hat Tip to Doctor of Credit’s Post)
Good morning everyone, I have a few new AMEX Offers to share with you today. The most exciting offer is for Whole Foods. A few weeks ago, there was a similar offer at Whole Foods where you could get a $10 statement credit after spending $75. Today’s Whole Foods offer is even better. Get 1,000 American Express Membership Reward Points after spending $50 at Whole Foods. Since this offer pays out in AMEX MR Points, this offer will only show up on AMEX MR Point-earning credit/charge cards. All other AMEX cash back or miles/points earning cards are excluded from this promo.
During the last Whole Foods promotion, I went to Whole Foods to reload my BART Clipper Card, which triggered the statement credit. I will do the same thing with my 3 enrolled AMEX credit cards. The process of reloading your Clipper Card is very easy, just stop by the customer service counter/desk and they will help you out right away.
In other news, AMEX has a See Your City: Eats Offer available. Certain restaurants in big cities are participating in this offer where you will receive a $10 statement credit after spending $50.
To see if your city is participating, click here and search for your city/zipcode. I’m surprised there is only 1 restaurant in San Francisco that is participating in this promotion.
Here are the other 5 AMEX Offers that caught my attention: Intermix, Tuft & Needle, Cheeca Lodge & Spa, Paradise Pen, and McGraw-Hill.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment below. Have a great day everyone!
P.S. There are 2 new Class Action Settlements that I saw today:
- Beck’s Beer False Advertising Class Action Settlement – up to $50
- JPMorgan Chase Bank TCPA Class Action Settlement – est. $45-$55
Does Whole Foods sell Visa / MC GCs?
No, just Whole Foods gift cards.
When I registered for the See Your City: Eats Offer, the terms said “Offer valid only at qualifying restaurants located within the five boroughs of New York City.”
I saw that too, but it might qualify at other cities/restaurants listed on the map.
Pretty clear that it won’t. “Offer valid only at qualifying restaurants located within the five boroughs of New York City. To see qualifying restaurants, visit maps.americanexpress.com/seeyourcityeats. You will not receive a statement credit for purchases made at a restaurant located outside of the five boroughs of New York City”
Ahh bummer. Good for New Yorkers then :)
Do you think the $50 has to be spent in a single charge at WF or will multiple charges that total $50 trigger the bonus (of course, it’s hard to not spend $50 once you walk in there)?
I would play it safe and make 1 charge of $50 or more. You can always buy a $50 Whole Foods gift card and spend that over time.
You can re-load a Clipper card at Whole Foods? I have never heard of this before! Do you have any knowledge as to if it works at all Whole Foods stores throughout the Bay Area, or only the one who patroned in SF?
I have loaded my Clipper Card in Walnut Creek, so all Bay Area stores should work. Just head to customer service desk.
Can we get the WF and NYC deals via Twitter or only if we were targeted?
I don’t think either offer has a Twitter hashtag yet. Stay tuned…
With the last offer I bought a $75 WF gc, so I will be adding another $50 gc my purse :-)
Nice job, that’s the way to do it!
We’re scraping the bottom of the barrel now. Feels like forever there has been a really good Amex offer, well at least for a few weeks. I guess we take what we can get.
Yes, I think Q3 is slow for credit card companies, but I anticipate Q4 will have more exciting offers.
The WFM Offer is not showing in my Platinum Card (OPEN) account, which is the only one I have that earns MR. Perhaps it is only available for consumer cards.
It might be for personal cards only, not business/corporate cards.
I grabbed the Premier Rewards Gold Card (with 50k MR bonus) over the weekend, and this deal thankfully appeared for that card. Woohoo! That’s the best card to use there anyway. Win!
Excellent, glad it worked out for you :)
