Redemption Options & Process for American Express Old Blue Cash

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a great weekend.  A few days ago, I wrote about a recent change to redeeming cash back on American Express credit cards.  With the recent change, you can now redeem cash back for any amount of $25.00 or more on the American Express Old Blue Cash, American Express Blue Cash Everyday and American Express Blue Cash Preferred.  Before this change, you had to redeem cash back in $25 increments.  In this post, I will show you how to redeem cash back and show you what other redemptions are available.  I redeemed cash back for my American Express Old Blue Cash, but the cash back redemption process should be the same for the American Express Blue Cash Everyday and American Express Blue Cash Preferred.

After my recent credit card statement closed, I had $45.10 in cash back on my American Express Old Blue Cash.  To redeem cash back, click the green Use Rewards Dollars button.

Convert 20,000 JetBlue TrueBlue Points into a Free Wyndham Rewards Hotel Night (15,000 Points)

Good morning everyone, happy Friday!  A few days ago, I showed you how to status match and transfer points between Wyndham Rewards and La Quinta Returns.  But what if you wanted to rack up Wyndham Rewards Points for free nights at any Wyndham hotel (including all-inclusive hotels)?  Wyndham Hotels are not the nicest hotels in the world and paid rates can often be very cheap, but every now and then, paid rates can be extremely expensive.  For example, Travel at One Mile At A Time found a Wyndham Hotel that was charging $1,500+ for a 1 night stay during the big eclipse last year.  Granted, that is very extreme, but I am sure you can find some hotels charging $300+ a night if you looked hard enough.

How do I get more Wyndham Rewards Points?

Wyndham does sell points, but you can only buy 10,000 points per year…

Citi Will No Longer Accept Cash Payments for Credit Cards at Branches

Good afternoon everyone, I’m not sure if this will affect anyone, but I just saw this on my recent Citi Double Cash Credit Card statement.  According to my statement, “Beginning July 21, 2018, cash payments to your credit card will no longer be accepted by bank employees at Citibank branches.”  If you do have cash that you want to use to pay off your Citi credit card, “proprietary Citibank ATMs will accept cash payments up to $3,000 per credit card account per calendar month with your credit card PIN. Call Customer Service to have a PIN mailed to you.”
